Rolls for half-frame day are pictures! If anything the Ecofilm makes UFX 100 faster than box - definitely dense negatives. Scanning later tonight probably.

With the Medalist back from a CLA I figured I had to do at least one glamor shot before I load a test roll. Figured I'd match it's energy and bring out my ZD back. Such a silly and inconvenient camera back with simultaneously lovely early big CCD/CFA colors.

Happy worldwide half-frame day everyone! Still slowly chugging through my second roll on the Pen-F. Got my shirt just in time yesterday. Twisted my ankle on the way to work yesterday so my photos will be mostly inside my house this year (and just as the weather is clearing up too). #wwhfpd26

Test roll for the Plus-X is pictures - think I overdeveloped this one/may have a chunk of fog over time. Definitely not too usable at iso 125 anymore - think 62 looks decent but may even like more light.

Went to prep my second roll for half frame day and immediately ran out - looks like my year with UFX 100 is up. It's treated me well but I'm on to other pastures. Next I'll be using this nearly 40 year old Plus-X roll I've been looking forward to. May do a quick iso exposure test roll first.

I know the point of half frame is size but the weather has been messy the past couple days so I've been a bit bored. Had to pull out ...the abomination. (Ironically this smaller 4.75" Cinephor can't get to infinity because of all the plastic and metal in the way - may have to grab my 7")

Happy half-frame shooting everyone! My Pentax 17 has an ECN-2 roll I'm saving for a trip later in the month and my OG Pens have gotten too hazy as of late. Looks like I'll be sticking to my Pen-F and Pen D3 this time around. Today I've got the 25mm F/4 with me. #wwhf

Here's 2 super quick scans of the paper negatives - definitely need to figure out a better way to scan these (and probably buy a polarizer). Too many artifacts from overhead lights. Second photo is a 60 second exposure of my cat - no surprise that he moved. Definitely need to get a 120 adapter.

Another thing that surprised me was how light the 118 Kodaks are - this giant 3 1/4 x 4 1/4 wood/leather/brass camera is the lightest of these 3 cameras - all relatively light for their classes. Almost feels like I'm holding a small pile of paper when it's folded up. This one is around 770 grams.

The Goerz No. 3 also came with a second camera I wasn't as interested in - advertised as a 1a folding pocket but is actually a later model 3 with an RR lens (that cleaned up nice) - maybe 5-10 years younger. This one had an original 118 spool in it - big next to a modern 120 spool!

That's part of what makes it special - it's really small and cute in a way. Super easy to make replicas in building games or map out in screenshots really quickly. I took screenshots of the 16 color MSX2 version a couple years ago and it was so quick to put together.

Got the finder off to see if I could get any wiggle room but I think I could only fix this if the focus problem was in the opposite direction. No idea if this was original but the mirror seems to be held in by some weird orange adhesive. At least the mirror is still in decent shape.

Scanned the whole roll from the Pilot 6 - not a single image in focus. Also slight leaks on some image edges. Besides that though the shutter/aperture seems to work perfectly fine. Here's two examples of images out of focus. Both have focus points further out than what the viewfinder saw.

Pilot 6 roll is pictures. Unfortunately from a quick glance most photos aren't in focus - so my worries about a misaligned mirror or focus screen are founded - and doubt there's much in the way or repair guides or people. I'll scan them later and hope I at least get something ok.

A recent acquisition - a ~90 year old KW Pilot 6. This particular model is the 645 version - and seems to be working. Shutter claims between 1/20th and 1/150th but my photoplug says it's really 1/65th to 1/85th - not really worth changing speeds. Focus also can't reach infinity. Still very cool!
