The house does not have coasters. I have stayed in countless rentals in the sixteen years since my celiac diagnosis and I have never stayed in a rental that doesn't have coasters.

We are visiting the girl. We tried a new rental house because it is closer to campus. I hate it! Sure, it looks good, but they don't even stock aluminum foil! The spouse and kid are still asleep and I am doing her laundry and drinking coffee. A perfect rainy morning!

We are seeing the kid this weekend, so I made 2 loaves of gluten-free banana bread to take with us. She loves banana bread, and my spouse loved getting rid of the 7 bananas from the freezer. Win-win!

My spouse is something else. Tonight the girl called him because she needed to talk to me about Dancing With the Stars. He put his phone on speaker and held it up for over five minutes while I was in the shower. And! He talked to my dad earlier tonight for 20 minutes. He's a saint!

My kid's college has a board game library and you can check out games. Today she checked out a game and took it with her to her babysitting gig. She is such a thoughtful human.

FaceTimed with the girl tonight. She met with her advisor and they are working on making sure the classes she takes next semester will fully transfer under her new major. My kid is pretty amazing.

We have an all hands on deck project and we are back in office every day for at least the next two weeks. Sigh. I actually don't mind going in on Fridays, but having to wear real clothes five days in a row is tough.

Remember our $520 power bill last month? Well, turning the AC up to 76° and going around turning off the lights got us down to $326. That is still obscene and utilities should be state owned and operated! By the end of the month we should be able to turn off the AC.

We honeymooned in Ireland and drove all around and we met exactly one surly bartender and got into a heated discussion because he could not grasp that our home state was larger than his entire country. He just refused to believe us!
