I lurk in the FB parents group for my kid's college. It is horrifying. There are so many boy moms asking the most asinine questions. Most of them post anonymously, which is unfortunate because I need to know their names so my child can avoid their sons!

I saw a TikTok about forgotten or discontinued beauty brands, and it reminded me of my favorite eyeshadow palette of all time. It was a 4 color palette from Lorac. I got it from Sephora in like 1998? It was gold, copper, peach, and a shimmery white. Sigh.

She called and we talked for over an hour. We discussed different majors that will still get her on the path to her intended career. We figured out two schools she might want to transfer to, along with what that might look like timewise. She said she feels much better after our talk!

The girl Facetimed us tonight. She signed up for a virtual meeting abouy transferring to the big state university. The lack of diversity is really getting to her. I told her that we support her no matter what she decides! We just want her to be happy.

#UFYH suggests you take a before and after photo of your project. I did it for once, and it is nice to have photographic evidence of your effort.

A very narrow linen closet that is almost overflowing with a combination of sheets and towels on three shelves. The bottom two shelves are well organized. They contain meds, soaps, masks and other miscellaneous items.

Our linen closet is a source of constant stress. We live in a late 60s ranch. Bath linens were smaller than they are now, and many women were still SAHM, so they did laundry frequently. I am forcing myself to part with bed linens and bath linens. I took a before photo so I can see the progress.

The most interesting thing about Dorm Room Mom IG/TT is a HEPA filter is on every single shopping list. Not a single one mentions preventing Covid, but they all say dorm rooms are germ hot spots and an air filter is a must have.

When I was newly pregnant I had to apply a compounded paste to the gums of my spouse's cat because the cat had bladder crystals. My spouse traveled M-F. The cat would cheek pills and spit them out in random corners. You haven't lived until you have gloved up to apply paste to a cat's gums.

When I found out the roommate's boyfriend's dorm room was on the same hallway as my girl's I told her we better pray they stick it out until the end of freshman year. We are 3 weeks into the semester and there is trouble in paradise! Don't follow your high school girl/boy/NBfriend to college!

The girl just left. It was so good to have her home. We didn't do anything fancy or special and it was wonderful! She is such a good kid. It was so nice just to walk by her room and see her doing homework.

Thu night my spouse and kid were texting. The spouse told the kid she can visir whenever she wants. Her best friend at school left to visit her family right after she got the text, so she told her dad she was going to surprise me with a visit. All of the kids left campus for the weekend.
