The infantile mascots that Meta uses to promote their AI service look a lot like the parasitic Adipose creatures who emerge from weight-loss patients' bodies in the 2008 Doctor Who Tennant/Tate episode, "Partners in Crime". tardis.fandom.com/wiki/Adipose...
In a still from the Doctor Who episode, an infantile beige-white marshmallowy Adipose creature stands on a desk waving its stubby arms next to a silver statuette, looking ingratiatingly at the viewer.Ad for the Meta product Muse, photographed in the Muni portion of the San Francisco Civic Center station entrance. The ad shows a Lububu-like infantile beige-white mascot creature waving its stubby arms at the viewer with an ingratiating smile.

Boring scene, San Francisco in the year 2026: Ex-Muji store, parking meters that take credit cards. Guy working at back of a van processing app-rental electric scooters that were probably left lying on the sidewalk. Still no air cars on skyhooks, basic income guarantees or friendly Vulcans.
As described. The ex-Muji storefront is painted dark red in a building that otherwise has a stained Brutalist concrete facade. It is downstairs from a furniture with a cheesy banner advertising an "Emergency Sale." There is a For Sale sign on the building too. There are three of the brightly labeled parking meters, and an ordinary parked car -- I obscured the license plate before posting. The van is a small white model with double doors at the back, like a plumber might use. The scooters are green and white so they're probably from the Lime company. The man working with the scooters is stocky, with gray hair, facing away from the camera wearing dark clothes and an old-fashioned flat cap. The newest-looking thing in the picture is a crisp small apartment building behind the van that has a facade with a lot of glass and exterior surfaces in fashionable multiple tones of beige and muted gray.

"At any rate, spring is here ... and they can’t stop you enjoying it." G. Orwell, "Some Thoughts on the Common Toad," 1946.
Pink flowers on branches along a railing. On the other side of the railing is pavement one story down between two long high walls, but there is blue sky in the distance past the walls.

San Francisco looking more Besźel than usual this evening.
View down King Street in the Mission Bay urban redevelopment district in San Francisco at twilight with black metal lamps, rows of leafless street trees, trolley wires, an approaching streetcar. Sky is sepia with a faint rainbow descending so it appears to touch the middle of the street in the distance. The scene is reminiscent of Southern/Eastern Europe.

San Francisco: the Sta-Puf Man mural and Sutro Tower from under Highway 80 at Brannan.
A sunset in narrow layers of pink-orange sky and pearly clouds behind San Francisco's Twin Peaks and the iconic Sutro Tower TV antenna. View is from South of Market under a freeway viaduct. Includes the upper part of the mural at 7th and Brannan Streets featuring the Sta-Puf Marshmallow Man and the Ghostbusters, who are weirdly drawn to appear as cartoon characters in the style of "The Simpsons."

This from Golden Gate Park on the 600 block of Lincoln is the latest in my collection of SF Park Code § 3.02 signs. Since it talks about limits on bicycle use, you'd think that Park Code § 3.02 must say something about bicycles? Nope, this is a link to it: codelibrary.amlegal.com/codes/san_fr...
White-on-brown sign on a traffic light pole: "Bikes Permitted on Roadways and Pathways Only." It cites to Park Code Sec. 3.02. Also on the traffic light pole is a sign for Lincoln Blvd. and the 600 block sign with an arrow pointing to the left.

Looking for an ID on this fungus. Northern California, on eucalyptus.
Bright orange fungus with raised paddle-like lobes on a weathered eucalyptus trunk with twigs and loose bark.Similar to previous but with two clumps of the orange fungus on a eucalyptus stump and some of the lower bits are greenish.
