when I write I incorporate the news that almost unfolded before my eyes. mostly true stuff, some embellishments and something left for the reader's imagination. there was a bright orange sweater that I loved more than my bride would ever wear. one size doesn't fit all. still, what a merry world.

Mine was green...but I bought the new automatic stick shift because I had enough stick shifting while in nam...I only had a few stick shifts after that. Once I rode the bike downtown and the bride called and said the stick shift was blocking her...I said ask the neighbor and he too couldn't drive

After Nam I had to do 6 more months at Ft. Belvoir, Virginia. Just before I got to the Fort, I stopped at a restaurant on US# 1 in my brand spanking new '69 VW Bug. I said to the waitress, I'll have a beef on weck...and she said, WECK (in a southern accent) what the heck is that? still not home...
