ANOTHER PAINTERLY PORTRAIT YAAYYYY i know the hand is small on this one but i was too far in to really fix it when i truly noticed T^T it used to be even smaller GUH i also think the perspective of the ref i used also maybe doesnt translate super well which makes the hand look weirdly small

Yuming Li study, (THANK YOU FOR THE FREE BRUSHPACK OMG theyre all so good ASJDH) such a tricky style but SO PRETTY GAH i probs could have made more edges soft. My own style of painting gravitates a lot towards hard edges GAH but i really enjoyed this :>> also ref used is by Yan Kolesnyk ^^

Shoutout to the photographers on upsplash who let ppl use their work for free, there's SO MUCH incredibly good shit on there, really good for reference, inspiration, photobashing, etc

Fun fact: if you're buying from a creator on etsy, you can reduce their etsy selling fees from 6.5% to 2.5% by ordering via 'shopname.etsy.com' instead of 'etsy.com/shopname' or searching from the main site. It costs you the same but the creator makes more

I find it so egregious that Pinterest uses imagery on its site to train GenAi models. Imagery they do not own, and for the most part, is uploaded by third party users without the consent of creators. GenAi industries depend on exploitation to function and it’s gross futurism.com/pinterest-da...

Discord has apparently added generative AI "apps" users can use to modify any image posted in any discord server. On by default, no way to disable them, no moderation tools. Fuck discord, support artists (discord sure doesn't).

I just realized, the moon has been there like forever but it's aging too!! It used to have less spots and craters than it has now, and it will continue to slowly collect more! How will it look in the far future? How did it look to the dinosaurs? She has no youth pictures!!!! We dont know!!

I have once again grown discontent with my pfp

000

May @mayjelune.bsky.social · 13/02/2025

New pfp :> I used a lot of wisdom from @bluebiscuits.bsky.social on this one, especially for the hair as I'm terrible at it HAHA (also for the record this is not a vampire design, I just like pointy teeth and odd eye colors)

May @mayjelune.bsky.social · 11/02/2025

I gotta make a new pfp at some point

Hot take: pinterest sucks and the main thing that's good about it is the underlying concept

Wow this is kinda scary to post, but I really enjoyed making this little animation!! I'm really not very experienced at all yet, but to be honest, animating stuff like this is actually way more fun than I expected :D #animation #art
