In our final PhD year, we (@gsundaram98.bsky.social @ericawhiting.bsky.social) built a dissertation quest system: track goals, earn rewards (donuts, craft nights, etc.), face punishments (yes, a princess hat). It’s silly, it’s motivating, and it might actually get us to the finish line.
