Starmer just stuck to a lawyer-written script, kept repeating that “the process was followed” & completely avoided the point. The vetting process did work & Mandelson failed it. That’s what he should have asked. Instead he’s trying to shift the focus & hope people don’t notice. Really inconceivable!

Maduro arrested for “drug terrorism”? Please. It’s about oil & testing limits. Russia & China object, but probably won’t act. EU is too silent. He’s seeing how far he/ they can go before anyone stops them? Appeasement didn’t work in the 1930s. It won’t work now. If history repeats, they won't stop

And stop chiming in with your negative comments when Black folks tell other Black folks to “stay home”. It’s for our safety as well as yours. Also, nobody asked you! She 👇🏾 gets it…

Michelle Agyemang saved England twice, shone under pressure, and won Best Young Player of the Tournament; yet post-match coverage focused almost solely on Kelly. Why is a 19-year-old Black woman still invisible when she was one of the main reasons England got to the final?

France, Spain, Ireland and others have recognised Palestine. And Starmer’s still hiding behind ‘process’. Still following US orders. How many more children have to starve before he grows a spine? Moral cowardice dressed up as diplomacy. It’s just getting embarrassing now. #FreePalestine #UKPolitics

#Starmer’s strategy? Try to please everyone. The result? He’s pleasing no one. The left feels betrayed. The right doesn’t trust him. And the public? Bored, confused, and drifting. This isn’t how you lead a country, it’s how you lose one! #UKPolitics #Labour

I can see how Hitler happened. The last decade or so in the U.S. makes it easy to imagine. Not just Hitler; the Tulsa race massacre, Rosewood, lynching, slavery, the Rwanda & Rohingya genocides & more. There is a wolf pack evil that lurks in the human heart and it’s easily activated by a demagogue.

It’s scary how little it takes to activate that pack mentality. Humans are proud of their intelligence, but time & again, they choose cruelty. Ppl. will gladly follow monsters, if it feeds their hate, fear, or sense of superiority. The capacity for evil is always there, just waiting for permission.

Funny how they trust kids to handle complex exams and political theory, but suddenly Gaza is too much 🤷‍♀️. It’s pure and simple cowardice. Politicians are terrified of being confronted with truth and forced to face the right questions. The kind they can’t answer without exposing their hypocrisy.

I’ve no issue with pragmatism, but being flexible doesn’t mean throwing out every principle you stood for as soon as you get elected. Starmer didn’t just shift, he U-turned, purged, & alienated. Supporting a party doesn’t mean silence. I’ll criticise when I think, it’s deserved, no matter who it is.

I’ve never been a “Corbynista”, quite the opposite. I’m just not impressed by Starmer. Ppl. are allowed to criticise leaders without being labelled. Instead of smug provocation, maybe try asking why people are frustrated or reading their posts. I've stated my opinion on him & reasons plenty of times

Sorry, If you have completely misunderstood my point. I'm quite the opposite if you bothered to read my posts. But you will probably be oblivious to this, if you've already muted me 🤷‍♀️

There’s a big difference between flexibility & throwing every principle overboard. Labour needed changes, but Starmer ran on unity, then turned on the left, broke every pledge, & started parroting Tory rhetoric. I wouldnt call that pragmatism. Members should hold him to account, now, not in 4 years.

Maya-Malcolms @maya-malcoms66.bsky.social · 29/05/2025
The Guardian isn’t the problem, it’s doing what journalism should. If exposing that Starmer’s shift is pushing voters toward Reform is “drivel,” maybe look at the polling. Tory & Reform voters aren’t switching, but Labour’s own base is slipping away. That’s the real crisis.
100
Maya-Malcolms @maya-malcoms66.bsky.social · 29/05/2025
Is this really “what the members want”? Starmer ran on unity and promises, then threw them all out. Labour isn’t supposed to shift into a Tory-lite party. Holding elected leaders to account isn’t moaning, it’s how we stop the party disregarding its core values chasing right-wing Tory votes.

Finally!👏 the mainstream press are reporting what many have been shouting for months: What does #Starmer actually stand for? His policies betray core Labour values. Time to stop tiptoeing. Either force him to change course, or face the reality that he’s dragging the party off a cliff. #UKPolitics

It’s clear Trump’s in serious mental decline. Rambling nonsense, can’t stay on script, contradicts himself. Yet, the press stays mostly silent. He’s one of the most powerful men in the 🌎, & no one’s sounding the alarm. He may be a puppet, but he’s still dangerous. Are they all really this cowardly?

Absolutely 💯. Musk was bleeding money, plain and simple. That’s the only thing people like him ever respond to. He’s done massive damage and will keep meddling from the sidelines. Don’t be fooled, don’t get complacent. Keep the pressure on. It’s working! ✊️

Most don't want to get caught up in the rising authoritarianism, hate & chaos. I feel for pro-democracy Americans caught in this mess, but many tourists don’t want armed goons, surveillance, or nonstop culture wars. They need a break, so they’ll take their money elsewhere. And who could blame them?

If replies are getting likes and genuine engagement, they shouldn’t be hidden. I’ve had multiple replies disappear from threads after they were visible and getting traction. This really discourages participation. @bsky.app Is this intentional?

Trump shows up in his tacky red MAGA hat like he's at one of his cult rallies, not a cadet ceremony meant to honour service and unity. Instead, he hijacks the moment with a rambling, self-serving speech, dragging down the tone and disrespecting the event. Completely inappropriate. Just shameful.

Absolutely sickening 😡 Blocking food from starving children is in no way self-defense. It’s a war crime. The US is funding it & the world stands by pretending it's complicated. It’s not. Let the food in. End the blockade. Stop starving civilians. Now!

Vought taking over from Musk at DOGE isn’t a real shift. It’s the mask coming off. Musk was the puppet doing the bidding, but the goal was always centralizing power. Now, the puppet masters are stepping in. Same plan, fewer distractions. Just doing it in the open. #USPolitics

Was his brain even engaged when he said this? Starmer’s revealing his true colors. I honestly wonder what else he’s planning to push voters even further into the arms of Reform. Trying to play all sides isn’t clever, it’s desperate. The smart thing would be knowing when it’s not working. #UKPolitics

If there really were a “white genocide” in South Africa, more people would’ve 'fled'. Most white South Africans aren’t leaving because they don’t have to. Trump’s refugee farce isn’t about danger, it's about headlines and appeasing his white supremacist base and 🤑 Elon Musk 🤢 #USPolitics

Trump & Starmer are both desperate for a quick trade headline. Trump calls it a win & “very big deal", but it undercuts his own America First claims. Starmer gets a photo op, but little else. It’s a self-serving stunt, not a serious deal. No real gain for workers on either side #UKPolics #USPolitics

Honestly, what’s really on offer? A narrow deal with a backstabbing autocrat and a watered-down pact with India. None of this fixes what Brexit broke. The EU is still our biggest partner, yet Labour won’t admit it. Reform is rising because people are tired of being lied to, yet again! #UKPolitics

We know Trump can’t be trusted. There’s always a price & it’s never worth it. Yet Starmer’s still trying to play all sides, acting like you can strike deals with a wannabe dictator in the US and a warmongering government that just attacked Pakistan. He needs to start listening, or go. #UKPolitics

Sorry to hear this. It’s sad when those standing for something good get attacked by 'people' advocating hate. Unfortunately, this is what happens when someone lacks the intelligence or vocabulary to express themselves. They lash out with cave-level abuse.

Trump probably doesn’t even know what’s in the Constitution, and he definitely doesn’t care. He’s like a glitchy humanoid robot whose programming keeps failing and needs constant rebooting. And every reset makes him more dangerous: more unhinged, more extreme, more obsessed with revenge.
