It just seems soooo saturated and I’ve done a ton of research but I think I’m at the point I just gotta try and see how it goes. Would love to hear any experience good or bad that anyone’s had

2D and 3D artists, what’re some ways you’ve found success in making passive income (utilizing your art skills)? Kinda wanna sell models or 2D art but I feel like it’s futile (???)

Feels stupid to chase your dreams in this lifetime I want to throw up

Maxx @maxxrogelio.bsky.social · 11/08/2026

The industry is so fucking scary right now. I’ve been lucky to find work in other industries that use 3D here and there but I’ve been honing my skills for games in the offer hours and it’s starting to feel so fucking futile and not worth it. I hate capitalism so fucking bad

see someone in person. Thank you for suggesting, I’m glad to hear it helped you, this is definitely my sign from the universe that I needed to go see someone 😭

I appreciate hearing this! I’m the only person that I know irl with it and everyone just says to use Advil but I’m like uhmmm hehe. I really think this’ll be my next step, I started doing some stretches from a tmj specialist on YouTube and it helped a bit but I know I oughta -

Maxx @maxxrogelio.bsky.social · 08/05/2026

Protect complete! Some things I’d like to tweak but alas, projects are never done - they’re due! I’m really proud of this, work has taken its pound of flesh from me this last year and I still managed to finish this in a few months. Now off to GDC!!! Catch me at the Vessel Forge Booth on Friday!

Work has been killing me!!!! But I’ve been putting in some hours regardless somehow and I’m so close. Gotta finish a trim sheet that’s in the oven, sprinkle in a few small props, and maybe break up the materials some more although it’s kinda the vibe hehe

Every fucking notes app has “AI” literally in its name and it’s driving me insane. Just want a notes app I can make connections between notes in - like a web chart almost but there’s nothing that doesn’t come with fucking AI
