We're far from the main event, but a couple storms will be possible as a weak front drifts into the early Saturday overnight and through the day Sunday. As said front moves southeast, there's a CHANCE we trigger some daytime activity with a little surface heating.

Sunday is where the severe threat is HIGHER, but overall chance for rain is LOWER. We'll be on the southwestern edge of a large system that will move over the Lower 48 to wrap up the weekend and go into next week.

Bookending the weekend with rain/storm chances: Friday looks less than threatening for severe weather, but "inconvenient" is the word we'll use, assuming we find a couple more rounds of showers and a couple storms.
