On the top of my mom being super chill and really respectful, she corrected a few people on my pronouns yesterday. She's made it a habit to ask me 'What pronouns I'm feeling for the day' are first thing in the morning. Granted, she's done this since I came out as gender fluid years ago. But still.

I love that, as an adult, my mother is conscientious and understanding of my sensory disorder. We have a long day ahead of us that includes getting groceries right before our huge blizzard, and she reminded me to get my noise canceling headphones so I won't be overwhelmed.

To clarify, he left A LOT of shit. Like 3 full rooms of stuff and it makes my mom hurt when she sees it all. But, thankfully, I was able to get 2 full weeks off from work to take care of it all. I'm about to be in so much pain from moving everything. Huzzah! But it'll all be worth it!

Every Christmas, I'll clean the house for my mother as her present. It's what she asks for every year. The vibe has been quite different around the holidays since my dad left a 2 years ago, so I'm spending my vacation, not only cleaning the house, but getting rid of everything he left as well.
