the forum i went on a lot in high school used to be disqus-based bc it had spun off from a disqus-powered comments section.

rape revenge movies from the 70s somehow less offensive

"waiting for the bus" is like a sexual harassment minefield for some reason

080

i talk to strangers anyway bc sometimes i like to, i just have to be ready at any moment for it to go sour, as i have since i was 13

1750

i still get it sometimes even with t voice/scraggly chin hair/etc bc often harassment has nothing to do with desire and everything to do with letting people know they are less-than and not welcome

11041

have always envied people who can talk to strangers without the fear of being groped, shown some guy's dick, or verbally harassed. happens less than when i was a teenager but the damage is done

41718

i feel like internet artist social norms, which i try not to fall victim to, made me feel like taking commissions was The Thing to do. but it's not a thing that works for everybody

4361

i said "keep up with" when i meant "catch up with" but you get the idea

1160

not that i'm not grateful to everyone who has commed me over the years but it's not something i like doing with my time and there are probably more efficient and personally satisfying ways for me to make a little extra money as an artist

once i keep up with commissions i think i am done with commissions forever unless someone wants to pay me an unwise amt of money. it's just not a good use of my limited time and energy

When the Grinch's heart grew three sizes, he probably got a raging boner. Had nothing to do with the Who's, it was just a matter of blood flow

so many first watches i've loved btwn jan 2026 and now. a matter of life and death, room temperature, bad lieutenant: port of call new orleans, investigation of a citizen above suspicion, z, all that jazz... 🔥🔥🔥

almost up to 100 films watched this year (at 99 now). good numbers for me

can only speak for myself but i find being miserable on t marginally better

(crossing my arms, smug dreamworks expression) "as the author i know the art is actually fake, because i made it up"

either way i am done with commissions (pretty much the only context i draw fanart in) forever. terrible way to make money and i hate drawing video game characters smoking blunts

whn was intended to be seen on the computer/phone so i don't understand why someone would prefer it as a book. but people do ask me semi-regularly when there will be a book so i think i'm just weird.

when i finish whn i will probably try to self publish it as a book as a cash grab/in a futile attempt to seem like less of a loser to my parents. but i don't know if i really believe that webcomics should be printed in books

my comic "zak and sara by ben folds" was in part a tribute to asw

1673

i love a softer world so much. i have a print of this one hanging in my room

i'm glad the pallases near me have a nice enclosure, tons of hiding space. they seem like they get to mostly do their own thing w/o too much keeper interference outside of the breeding program

i feel like i was hard on cregger at first but i'm really warming up to him tbh. something in me does yearn for Elevated Creepypasta

came across this classic ASW and i gotta say: STILL GREAT www.asofterworld.com/index.php?id...

I figured out how to be happy / but I can't tell you. / You not knowing is a big part of it.

reasonable, feel like the approach to dialogue in this movie is ultimately very much a ymmv situation

100

idk i was just delighted... i went in with low expectations + zero fealty to the resident evil games and/or brand. there was a guy in the sewer that exploded into rats which i really fucked with

1410

i liked the new resident evil movie. a couple of bad one-liners but to me, mostly funny and charming. lots of wet-looking, elaborately grotesque monsters.

3570

i agree, but did not like the movie for other reasons. it is weird though how it's cool to wear a hat of an old movie but wearing a hat of a new movie is Consumerist and Bad.

140

fuck this is so cool... david social

020

i feel like people are starting to call any comedy dialogue in a non-comedic movie (action, horror, etc) "marvel". i think it's ok for movies to have little jokes

8773

sometimes i do think we should just let every customer-facing employee be rude as fuck for no reason

i did omit disco elysium even though i really like it, but who the fuck needs me to tell them to play disco elysium

4521

don't want to. seems scary up there

i know one song by him so he's real
