I just discovered avahi which lets you create domain names for the machines on your local network, like my-laptop.local, etc. And because NixOS is so awesome you just add a one-liner to to your config to enable it: ``` services.avahi = { enable = true; nssmdns4 = true; }; ``` (defaults […]

A #lifehack for all my #grayjay enjoyers: if you press the download icon on the Watch Later playlist, any video that you add to it (by pressing the little clock icon on a video) will get automatically downloaded in one click, and then automatically cleaned up once you've watched it. @futograyjay […]

The worst thing about Nix is the amount of cringe you experience when listening to a podcast where they complain about how difficult it can be to install/ship software and get all dependencies to play nice, or get it to work for all Linux distros, etc. without any of the hosts knowing that Nix […]

@noboilerplate After watching your latest video, I got curious if you've tried Jujutsu (jj) VCS? I think it would pair really well with the Savepoint. jj is like Git 2.0 but still Git compatible, to the point where one's colleagues won't even notice that you're using it. Just two examples of […]
