Had lunch with our youngest in Duluth and we continued north. The M1 up to Ely is a driver’s road. Max speed limit is 50, but all of the curves makes driving a stick so rewarding.

Ugh, always worse to see your kid go through it. Odd for me with this was it’s my first cold or flu since before the pandemic. And it was a mix of cold and flu symptoms, though closer to flu with the aches and fever.

You’ll also have access to Bidness Costco™️ Northeast. No kitchen (i.e. no in house prepared food), but it does have restaurant supplies and it’s amazeballs. It’s been a while, but once there was a 55 gal drum of olive oil. Also, it’s the best location for gas.

Relented and turned on the heat today (I work from home Mondays and Fridays). Not quite ready to wear Cratchit gloves yet. However, it's been since spring since the downstairs furnace has been on and I thought it was the garbage being picked up outside before realizing what was going on.

Took Gumball for a first spin. Despite being a pound heavier, I rolled an avg of 165 which is right in line. 😍 Side note: Kudos to the parents at Elsie's throwing a bowling birthday for their 7 y/o kid and friends. They handed out fake mustaches and soul patches for everyone. They looked great!

My kids were too old to go to Webster, but I helped pack and buy groceries during OMS there and these teachers blew me away. It’s not enough to teach during a difficult time, but they were also doing the deliveries as well since they were the only one to be trusted.

You’d have to have a helluva garage to hide this puppy. Wonder if the neighbors don’t like it and the owner is parking it around in temporarily spots every few days or so. City will tow an “abandoned”vehicle after 72 hours.

My Polish side is from Detroit and my great grandfather ran a grocery store/meat shop and everything was smoked. Had to order Easter kielbasa before Christmas. Sentyrz, as much as I love them, commits blasphemy with every link – liquid smoke. And the kielbasa grind is too fine. 😭😭😭

Wise choice! We hit Kramarczuk’s today too. Needed some Gypsy bacon and pumpernickel rye for our last BLT of the season. Picked up some wiener’s and the new Hmong sausage too. Sadly, they didn’t have Andy’s Deli wedding sausage in from Chicago. That’s the authentic Polish kielbasa.
