“Wanna take a selfie?” This image contains Spectremint’s OC, named Spectre. Go give him a follow! :> @spectremint.bsky.social

This is an image of Spectre and Oren taking a selfie together. Spectre’s wearing a green jacket, with dark and light green squares, a large silver zipper, and a bright, mint green collar. There are stripes on his jacket where his wrists are as well, with the last one being the same mint green as the jacket’s collar. Spectre’s body is dark green in color, with bright mint green eyes and a green mouth. He’s also wearing glasses that have a white frame.

Oren is a fox-hare hybrid. His body is blue and he has green accents on his front legs, hind legs, tail, and ears. He wears a dark blue scarf with a silver end and has very long ears. His eyes are large, with large black pupils and a thin blue surrounding. He has small black paw beans.

Spectre has his arm around Oren and is holding him up since he’s too short to fit in frame otherwise. Oren has one hand on Spectre’s sleeve, and the other is waving at the camera. His hind legs are barely in frame, showing both of his paws. Oren and Spectre both have a gleeful expression on their face as they take the picture.

The background is of an open field, with a mostly clear blue sky, apart from some light clouds. The grass is green and plentiful. The sun is shining in the upper left corner, casting a reflection across the picture.

This image is the version with the camera controls visible. The camera controls look similar to a smartphone camera’s UI, with buttons for filters, timer, flash, camera rotation, camera mode, and the shutter button. The shutter button has a “2” on it, indicating two seconds until image capture.

This image is the version without the camera UI visible, description below:

So this is not the usual post for me, but my cousin just endured a massive fire and lost his home and belongings. He jumped from a 2nd story window to escape, sadly his brother/my other cousin did not survive Just posting this here in case anyone feels compelled and able to help gofund.me/b10a6b3d7

Didn’t take long for me to receive art suggestions with Oren…unfortunately this one isn’t exactly…the nicest thing you could do to him. ;-; i still drew it tho lol, thank you for the fun little suggestion ehehe!!

In this image, Oren is sitting in the center, with a grey, dark gradient background. He’s soaked with water from a water balloon. He’s teared up, his ears are down, and there’s a speech bubble coming from him saying “Why did you throw a water balloon at me??”

On the top, there’s the person making the request:

Gildedthorn - 7/29/26, 12:33 PM
“Now draw him sogged”

Below that is text that I wrote saying “Look what you’ve done!” putting his text in a “frame” of sorts.

My artist signature also has flavor text saying “not my fault!”

This is a new OC of mine, named Oren! I was inspired to make an entirely original OC after one of my friends made his own (reposted below this post). I love the way he turned out, and I’m excited to make tons of pieces with him! Thank you to everyone who gave me feedback on his design!

Oren is blue, with green curls on his tail and ears and legs that are entirely green. The curls on his tail flow along the sides of his body above his hind legs. His eyes are large, with a thin light blue sclera surrounding the black iris/pupil. He wears a dark blue scarf with a chevron-shaped silver end.

Emotions:

Curious: He forms an “o” with his mouth.

Excited: His eyes sparkle and his jaw drops in joy.

Alert: His pupils go small, and he stares with intent.

Sad: His ears droop as tears flow from his eyes.

Scared: His ears droop and his pupils go hollow.

Written description:

Male, Unknown Species, 2ft (~61cm) long, 1ft (~30cm) tall, Pacifist

Personality:

Oren is a shy, gentle creature. He is very careful, always watching the moves he makes, making sure to be mindful of those around him. He's very timid, often getting a scare from sudden movements or from loud sounds, like thunder. He gets along with others well, and enjoys good company, though he will quickly get overwhelmed if he doesn't get his alone time. Despite all of this, he is generally very happy, with a smile that's contagious to those around him.

When people approach him, they tend to treat him like a pet, getting startled when he speaks. He got a newfound love for head scratches, though, after someone didn't hear him speak and pet him. He fell asleep for an hour!

Traits and Origins:

Oren's origins aren't fully known. When scientists found him, he was brought in for testing. A fox...hare hybrid? He had the body of a fox, the face of a hare, a physical size in-between both, and colors of neither. Not only that, he speaks fluid english, along with another language yet to be decyphered.

Oren wears a scarf given to him by a kind stranger. Even though it wasn't with him when he arrived at Earth, he takes care of it like it's his most prized possession. Maybe it reminds him of something...or maybe it's because he feels he's cuter with it. He does get that compliment a lot, after all.

(repost! sorry!) behold! meet Spectre! he's a cute little ... thing that's supposed to act as a close representation of actual me (to the extent that he has the same personality and everything as me), to the same extent that Clover is... but technically more so? think of him like my personal mascot!

I’ve seen the argument that people use generative AI because they’re “not skilled enough…” Art is beautiful because a human made it. Even if your pieces don’t turn out the way you want initially, it’ll improve as you gain experience and pour love into your work. The best time to start is now. :)

Figured this would be fun; I decided to draw Zale from #TalesOfZale on my Kindle, which limits you to 3 colors: black, grey, and white. This turned out better than I expected it would!! :D

This is an image of Zale lying on the top of a hill watching a shooting star. The moon is shining brightly in the corner, and some clouds are coming in from the top left side. There are stars in the background. This image is a picture OF my kindle using a camera.

For those interested, I’m taking music comms now! I do orchestral/piano music, mainly, and I do many different moods, from relaxing to scary. Prices will vary depending on what you need, but you can expect around $25 for a single, and much less per song if you need multiple pieces. DMs are open!

Made Niko from OneShot! :3 Figured I’d give it a shot (ehehe!) because Niko’s character design has always been one that intrigued me! OneShot’s my favorite game of all time, too, so it felt right to draw them. :> Also I firmly believe that Niko is a cat and I will die on that hill lolll

Niko holding the Sun, a lightbulb, from the game OneShot. The background is very dark. Niko is standing in the center, holding the sun in both hands.

The lightbulb’s glow is overwhelmingly bright, and Niko is looking down at it. Niko is also speaking, saying “this world is in my hands.”

I was in a very euphoric mood about my art a couple of days ago, so I also drew this! In times like these, and for the first time, I actually feel...pretty happy about my imperfections in my drawings? Like, it feels more human, if that makes sense? #comics

First panel:
Me looking happy. Text says, "GOD I love drawing!!!"

Second panel:
Me falling with a bunch of papers surrounding me. Text says, "I love to share my drawings! It makes me happy!!!"

Third panel:
A hand drawing a wobbly face.
Text says, "I love my wobbly lines and my imperfect hands...It's proof that I am a human!!"

Fourth panel:
Me drawing happily. Text says, "My art is not perfect, and that's okay......because it's mine!"

You can downgrade any A5 device down to iOS 8.4.1 with some trickery and an iOS 9 jailbreak, and I’ve made a video on that in the past. Some iPad 2 models can also install iOS 6 as well, so there’s another option! Regardless, you have lots of options when it comes to jailbreaking your iPad. :) (2/2)

110

Matthew DeDoes @mattstech.bsky.social · 31/01/2025

I can help with that! The type of jailbreak you can do depends on the iOS version on your iPad. On iOS 9.3.5, you’ll need to use an app called Phoenix, and the jailbreak won’t be untethered, meaning it’ll need to be reactivated every boot up. iOS 9.3.3 and earlier have untethered options. (1/2)

That definitely sounds like a NAND issue to me, and I think that’s one of the few things that the diagnostics tests don’t test very well. Considering the fact I’ve got an iPhone XR with a failed Wi-Fi/Bluetooth chip, and it doesn’t see any issues…the diagnostics have room to improve lol

010

Matthew DeDoes @mattstech.bsky.social · 26/11/2024

Did they not do a hardware diagnostics test? I find it odd that they wouldn’t rule out a hardware issue using that first so you wouldn’t have to jump through so many hoops! 😵‍💫
