the basis prob w saying AI is necessary for education in old disciplines, esp philosophy. Plato educated students well 2600 years ago, with sticks, sand, and at most, some manuscripts. Plato and thousands of others have been good teachers. So, no, AI is not necessary. Critical reasoning is.
