I'm pretty sure there's another issue. There are always three faithful on the traitors shortlist. Two of them enter breakfast last. One of them is murdered. You could surely keep tabs on the other two each day and by process of elimination get to the traitors?

Yeah I agree. I do think Rogers was always liable to just stick one in, even if not playing well. I reckon we'd have beaten hull or Brentford for example

I agree. But he's our only really dominant CB in the air. Up to yday Brentford had scored thee set piece goals and were averaging 0.75 xg from set pieces per game. Yday it was no goals and 0.08 xg. It worked in that respect. But I agree we need someone who can do both

Gomes energy is great. But positionally something just isn't working between him and Kamara (who seems to be playing further fwd). The number of times there were huge gaps in front of our defence was alarming.

As a villa fan who found this, this was always true. Emery's team played a 442 mid block, with at most one winger. He was obviously not suited to playing in an expansive 4231. Especially not after a World Cup and then pre season with (apparently) very limited physical prep

Gonna take me a while to work out what I think after that. Could easily have had four. But conceded four too. And a real lack of control. We do look more dangerous though. Midfield for me isn't protecting the defence or the ball enough
