i should probably specify that it does work now yeah, detection range might be a little much since it's literally just the camera.far but problem for later. also unsure what i consider quality enough to stick the godot tag on whenever i post something

it didn't work. i think my main skill issue i have with coding is simply not knowing the magic function that (potentially) solves everything. like yeah, Camera3D.get_pyramid_shape_rid() is a function i now found out about, i do want that view frustum as a shape, i do not know what a rid is. we ball

stray thoughts 2 / #doodles thinking about the goo

various doodles of the goo, a mass of goop usually in the shape of a fox. at the bottom, Matt (bird on the left; main thought is "what a funny guy") and Ura (raccoon on the right; main thought is "evil entity of the woods..") are discussing about them. left doodles are generally silly and have little to no meaning; right doodles are creepier and mostly focus on design/ideas of the fox-like entity and the woods as a whole.
Transcript will only be the right side:
- gotta come up with better designs for various plants (the goo has probably messed up their biology bad).
- also want to change the design of the main one mildly (slightly less anthro, more ambiguous creature, but still mostly fox like).
- unsure about thorns, goes against goo's design of no sharp edges.
- although generally with the creepier designs i like to think they're a product of ura's mind (to be fair, the defensive stalking doesn't help).
- also gotta mess with shapeshifting more considering the forest is an amalgam of plants and wildlife which they could have at the ready.

watch out if you look up either of those games they're really flashy. something about GC (pre-future performers) that gets me is its very obvious background limitations. you get wireframe or flat/vertex colored models, no textures*. also only linear motions(??) it's very interesting and i love it

got a check up and came back normal/probably food poisoning that's sorta gone now. that doesn't really explain the very mild tingling in some limbs and chest discomfort but i guess those can be solved by simply being better at life (instead of soda, drink Grilled Chicken)
