Finished my novel. It took me ten years or more. So nice to be able to print it out and make it that little but more real.

Printed manuscript of my novel, The Cape House, with the cover page listing the title, my name, and the word count (120,000). There is a blue coaster with a sea shell hiding my address on the top left and the bottom of my lego typewriter is also visible.

The idea of publishing a novel only to have AI gobble it up is so discouraging. It’s like this thing I’ve poured my soul into just gets consumed by a soulless entity to be used for profit. It makes me want to only hand out my work via pamphlet at like parks or train stations.
