Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei has been saying how scary AI could be and how we should regulate development. And while I agree (despite being more pro-AI) I do find it ironic his name is an exact anagram for "AI doomer aid," as in he's aiding the rhetoric of AI doomerism. The simulation's getting lazy!

God I loved Sam Neill as Alan Grant. He brought such a warmth to the character in a way that made him so endearing. He was also some of the best parts of the two sequels he was in. Beyond Jurassic Park, it was always nice to hear his natural New Zealand accent in other movies, lol. RIP to a legend.

Maybe it's because I'm a futurist rather than a nostalgic, but I see no problem with what Sony is doing with PlayStation. Digital sales are like 90% of their income, and physical is more expensive and time-consuming to produce, so cutting it makes economic sense. That's just how it works, y'all.

If the reports that Thunderbolts is getting a sequel are accurate, then that should definitively conclude that Captain America: Brave New World was not a flop. It grossed more than Thunderbolts on a lower budget, and you don't make sequels to movies that flopped that soon after the original.
