It does, yes, but not by any Germans. The Hanoverians didn't conquer anyone. They just lucked into a way better crown for a few generations. Britain was more or less ok with this at the time because it preferred foreign Protestants to homegrown Catholics.

The Houses of Hanover & Saxe-Coburg and Gotha were not brought to the British throne by foreign conquest. In both cases it was a matter of recondite succession law. In the former case, recondite succession law then-recently passed by the British parliament to exclude Catholics.
