Trump offered to bribe voters for $5k each. This will cost over $1.35T and massively jack-up inflation because when you inject 1.35 trillion of freshly-printed money out of thin air (we run deficits, so we can only print new money) inflation rises. But that's OK. Trump is most likely lying again.

I suspect that Trump's solution to the air quality crisis in America will be to fire everyone responsible for gathering data and publishing air quality indexes.

Smoke from Canadian wildfires has resulted in the worst air quality index in the Columbus area since the Mid-Ohio Regional Planning Commission began keeping records in 1999.

The AQI reached 554 at 6am Friday July 17, at Finland Elementary School on the city's Southwest Side, according to MORPC data. That is considered "hazardous" to everyone using the National AQI Index.

At 12:40 pm the AQI for Columbus was 295, considered "very unhealthy"

The air outside looks like a dive bar from the 90s. When I first moved to Ohio decades ago, one of the things I noticed was how blue the skies were compared to my previous homes on the east coast. No longer. For 3 summers now there have been days I can't go outside. This is not normal.

Canada is on fire for third summer in a row. Outside air quality is crap. Storms getting stronger and more violent. Winters getting harsher. And to top it all off weather forecasts in the USA are less and less reliable now that Trump has gutted NOAA and other science institutions.
