Gotta say that was one heckuva Mahler 5 tonight at @nyphil.org. Apart from a few off notes the orchestra sounded magnificent. Special kudos to horn soloist in the third movement and the strings and harp for that amazing Adagietto. Love that symphony so much. Sky was also spectacular!

This book is fucking great - and funny as hell. Don’t know why I never read it before (maybe the length?) but it’s fantastic. Don’t think it would make a great cinematic experience because there are so many diversions and so much of the fun is in the dialogue and the narrative.
