By Monday morning, I'll have officially charted and written up 90 wide receivers for the #ReceptionPerception site this offseason - about 60 NFL players, 23 full prospect profiles with 10 more in the prospect roundup. By the end of August, I'm positive I'll hit 100+ WRs evaluated this year.

There are many reasons to like the Mike Evans signing for the 49ers but by far the best part about it is that he maps perfectly onto the Shanahan X-receiver route tree. Compare Aiyuk's 2023 #ReceptionPerception route percentage chart (usage) to Evans' 2025 success rate chart (performance):
