Not the most comforting time to be hearing and reporting an major commercial aircraft accident but as I pushback from BER on this Embraer 190, it’s important to remember that being on board an airplane is statistically safer than being at home.

This week’s #StealthSaturday offering really showing off the gold tint from the indium tin oxide layer in the cockpit canopy of the F-22. Supposedly to prevent stealth-reducing emissions from entering and/or leaving the cockpit.

For all my fellow Spad superfans, this is a v. interesting story which only adds to my fascination with the A-1. I cannot imagine being on QRA in a nuclear jet, leave alone an A-1. Other than going fast, I really don’t think there’s anything the Able Dog wasn’t capable of!
