We saw her last night in Nashville - she’s been doing no-devices on this tour - truly one of the best concert experiences I’ve ever had. at one point a ton of people pulled out lighters (and not phone flashlights) and it literally moved me to tears.

I like seeing the dev of the SNES core on the Pocket actually telling one of these dudes off. Holy shit.

If it works, that's pretty cool; I didn't think
would ever see this implemented (I also didn't
expect LLMs to exist).
However, this is not something you can PR
here, or anywhere. You sent me a nearly 50k
line diff, unasked for, completely LLM built, and
you somehow expect me to review it. There is
SO MUCH unrelated garbage here. Never
minding all of the docs and Python, you've
somehow touched basically all of the upstream
HDL, which already had MSU1 support, so idk
what in the world you're doing.
This kind of behavior is not acceptable. You are
infringing on the time and brainpower of people
by pushing "your" content that little/no of your
brainpower went into; completely unrequested.
I hope for the sake of all responsible
maintainers that you do not do such a thing
again.
Again, I think it's cool that you and your LLM
supposedly got this to work. It has no place in
my world.

I have a completely rational fear of compressed air because one time in high school when we were shooting golf balls into the woods out of a PVC cannon we made for senior physics we overjuiced the rig and the whole thing exploded. my buddy victor fell over backwards and we all screamed

Crisp October Friday today, which for some reason always makes me think of this pic of me from 2011

Was back in Spartanburg this week with a coworker from Portugal and as we were walking to dinner he said “it really is very nice here! a wonderful city,” and then he furrowed his brow and pointed at the Denny’s building and said “except for that horrible thing.”

majora's mask update - the great bay temple dungeon rules. it's so good it might have made all that bullshit worth it. all the dungeons in this game are just like, 80-90% better than the ones in OoT. it makes me want to play the OoT Master Quest because the team just figured out how to cook.

Had a nightmare that I was in a very expensive breakfast place somewhere in California and the proprietor/chef was physically throwing out people who he caught sharing food while screaming “NO FAMILY STYLE! WE DON’T DO THAT SHIT HERE”

Majora’s Mask update - the dungeons in this game are very good, and the looping timeline leads to some really sick narrative and puzzle stuff; the problem is that if I’m not being maximally efficient the first time around, I’ve gotta do a whole lot of tedious warping around and waiting on the repeat

There are so many stories lately about people who died by suicide after falling into emotionally manipulative patterns with chatbots. We rarely get to hear how the people who loved them are coping after an unimaginable, senseless loss. This is one of their stories: www.404media.co/austin-gordo...

This place bombed their health inspection (66), really doesn’t seem like they should be getting any sort of review. Looks like Craig laid off the very good food reporter on staff (Lyric Lewin) and is now relying on freelancers to let us know the schwarma fries might be worth risking food poisoning.

saw coyote vs acme last night - very glad it got released, very weird movie. Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck get animated normal style, but all the other cartoons are this very stylized CG that unfortunately looks kinda cheap. I understand why they did this but I simply wish it had all been normal.

I started playing through the Majora’s Mask PC port this weekend. Never made it past the water dungeon when I was a kid, but always kinda had the contrarian opinion that this was the better N64 Zelda. It’s not, so far there is a lot of tedium, but this game has a lot going for it. stay tuned.

been getting a lot of Instagram reels of young folks showing off huge stacks of comics omnibuses they got on websites called things like “whatnot.” no amount of this propaganda can convince me the omnibus is a good format to read comics in. too big.
