It was both. You can talk about how conditions force people onto benefits without making benefits itself a moral issue. Using trapped in this context is just a paternalistic way of saying people are opting for benefits instead of working.

The GRC did as the GRA specifically states obtaining a GRC legally changes someone’s sex. There are two provisions to override a GRC for criminal offences and sports but those are the only stated two.

We already had that though. When a law replaces another one, the legislation depreciates it. The Equality Act did not do that with the Gender Recognition Act and the Gender Recognition Act specifically states a GRC changes legal sex

I did, so before trying to be condescending you should read it as well. England had an extremely low response rate of 60%. Their non response rate was double Scotland’s. Those non-responses tended towards native English speakers from low income households and with additional educational needs
