This article misses the existence of regional monopolies on electricity in the U.S., and their influence. In Alabama you essentially must pay an extortion fee to them to have solar, that can exceed the cost to not.

She could be all those things and still give only lip service to the ideals. But she doesn’t so they become distinguishing characteristics after the fact. And they focus on those b/c they can’t bring themselves to say it’s the ideals of the U.S. that they hate. They choose bigotry as cover.

Yes, the progressive agenda has been (should be?) a matter of closing the gap between ideal and actuality. The ideals are just and admirable, even as the country has yet to see them fully realized. (and didn’t even get close until the late 1960s)
