After spending hours trying to figure out why my lighting and color grading was completely off between Mac and Windows, I finally discovered that the issue was that vk-bootstrap silently falls back on a UNORM swapchain format if your requested isn't available instead of failing.

Trying out Tracy again. On the plus side it's actively maintained, unlike Optick. On the downside it still looks a bit ugly, I had to manually implement label color generation to make it readable, and sampling profiling fails to complete even on a toy app. Am I missing something?

Damn the sequel to my "Can It Run Doom?" lightning talk is writing itself. Joke aside, GTX 900 makes sense if you want to target Vulkan 1.3 (earlier cards have sketchy driver support). As for recommended specs, I'd guess mesh shaders, although RX 5xxx series don't support them.
