Investors in UK companies reap record dividends. Dividends to UK shareholders taxed at lower rates than wages. No national insurance paid. Unlike the USA, UK doesn't have withholding tax on dividends to foreign investors. Those holed-up in offshore tax havens escape tax altogether.
