Ran all of the image disk usage commands, and got my Mastodon image storage from 50GB down to 17GB. Then I turned on storage with Cloudflare in Mastodon, which looks like it'll cost me abut 50 cents per month. Alright, here's the test... Are my externally-hosted images working?

Degoog is a neat self-hosted alternative to all of the broken search engines. It does a good job of peeling away the trash results from the regular sites. I just don't understand why 25% of the results when I search for my username are for Regin Philbin. #ThatsMyFinalAnswer #SelfHosting #Degoog

I searched for "rxbrad" on my local Degoog install. The three results shown in this screenshot are...

1) An IMDB biography page for Regis Philbin
2) A comment I think I made on Lemmy
3) A Regis Philbin page on biography dot com

Theoretically, the "Regis Philbin" results come from Bing. But if I search my username there, no Regis.

The puppy loves to attack & eat every stick and leaf she finds. I just realized I had a whole crapload of nightshade growing all over the place around my backyard. So, I had to go pull vines and chuck them into the trash.

Bitter nightshade. A viney plant with purple flowers & yellow stamen. This was growing on the edge of my backyard, along with about 30 pounds of additional vines just like it. (There was also a great deal of white-flowered variants.)
