I am still gonna get Ravenous. 100%. But it doesn’t have the effect on me that Dread did tbh, not by a long shot.

Masterstarman @masterstarman.bsky.social · 4h

I’ve heard nothing but “omg samus is so hungry” in response to this game, I don’t get it? Humour is subjective at the end of the day and I don’t wanna challenge that, but… Are people trying to tell a joke? Cause there is none. It’s like a broken copypasta at this point, a bottom of barrel meme.

Masterstarman @masterstarman.bsky.social · 4h

Honestly, looking at the gameplay, I have a hard time noticing any differences from Dread. Which isn’t a bad thing, keep things simple and don’t try and change too much. But… I’m not losing my mind hyped over it either because of that. That and tbh… I don’t understand the jokes and memes

100

Masterstarman @masterstarman.bsky.social · 4h

I’m gonna say something half controversial… I’m not honestly hyped for Metroid Ravenous. Am I going to get it? 1000%, I love the series and want to play the next game. Dread was amazing too. But… ravenous to me just hasn’t hit me the same way.

Redid this one, forgot how much I loved Amanchu (and it’s been so long since I’ve seen Zatch Bell, though that was a childhood series for me).

For years I was genuinely terrified to even step foot in the Egg Quarters level in Sonic Adventure 2… I haaated the thought of an invincible roaming enemy that was unavoidable if it noticed you (didn’t help the screen also flashed if it was near… thankfully the gcn version toned it down but still)

The ONLY Thing holding it back from being the absolute greatest direct ever… imagining if they unveiled Sora in Smash on that day too. They teased the presentation. We had that 2 week buildup. If that was on the same day, it would’ve been a stratospheric sized direct easily.

I’m also not kidding, this was easily among the most juiced I’ve ever gotten for a single direct. The news on Mario Party and Metroid Dread was incredible, Kirby had his proper 3D reveal. We got the gba Castlevanias,… Freaking Banjo-Kazooie was in a direct.

I mentioned this in a recent video, but it's now been 5 whole years since Kirby and the Forgotten Land was first announced! (In what's a serious contender for my favorite Nintendo Direct of all time). Glad to see this game has held up and is better than ever! Wild it's been half a decade now!

Seems there’s a trend going around of favorite anime series (also one for games too, I’ll fill that out later), figured I’d do this one! Surprisingly not too hard for me to think of my favorite/most influential anime series.

Some of my favorite anime series. Kirby, Pokemon Diamond and Pearl, Inuyasha, Yu-Gi-Oh!, Zatch Bell, Transformers Cybertron, Dragon Ball Z Kai, Sailor Moon, and Magic Knight Rayearth

I love the little moments in Kirby Right Back At Ya where Kirby stays transformed and yet still looks adorable! Usually he loses the abilities after most fights, so its nice to see these little cute moments when they happen! 😊

Twice in one weekend, I have gone back to old Ocarina of Time save files and 100%’d both of them. The NSO one I began in 2021, and believe it or not this 3DS file is from when the 3D version launched in 2011. Only now just getting around to finishing these!

It feels strange how much more I'm invested in Zelda thanks to the Ocarina of Time remake coming out,... anyone who's known me knows I haven't cared much for this series for years now (even if I enjoy the games), and yet I've actively been participating in more and more Zelda discussions lately...

000

Masterstarman @masterstarman.bsky.social · 11/09/2026

000

Masterstarman @masterstarman.bsky.social · 10/09/2026

As excited as I am for Kirby and the World Beyond, admittedly I won’t be talking about it for a few videos yet in Forgotten Land. I have the first 10 videos recorded, edited and scheduled already (so it’ll be at least three weeks and three worlds before I even get a chance to bring it up in videos!)

000

Masterstarman @masterstarman.bsky.social · 10/09/2026

The areas in Kirby and the World Beyond are kinda giving me the same vibes as Return to Dream Land and Star Allies' first levels a bit (I know they're both just grass land type first areas, but still, similar structures and whatnot)

Almost all the other announcements felt like “here’s cool third party game I probably own on steam but wanna play on switch 2 anyways”, like the resident evil remakes, Fatal Fury, among others. I am gonna play Persona Revival and Persona 6 on switch 2 though when those come out.

Masterstarman @masterstarman.bsky.social · 09/09/2026

I think in a big part of that, Metroid especially just looked to be more dread again (which isn’t bad, it just looked rather safe). Kirby is taking more bold moves going in a more open direction, which I thought was only natural after Forgotten Land.

100

Masterstarman @masterstarman.bsky.social · 09/09/2026

This direct was a strange one. I feel it was a very “Me Coded” thing, and ending on a new Kirby is always a highlight. Yet… I almost don’t think I was hyped? Metroid Ravenous and Kirby and the World Beyond are the highlights… yet both don’t feel as insane to me as Forgotten Land and Dread were
