I’m gonna say something half controversial… I’m not honestly hyped for Metroid Ravenous. Am I going to get it? 1000%, I love the series and want to play the next game. Dread was amazing too. But… ravenous to me just hasn’t hit me the same way.

For years I was genuinely terrified to even step foot in the Egg Quarters level in Sonic Adventure 2… I haaated the thought of an invincible roaming enemy that was unavoidable if it noticed you (didn’t help the screen also flashed if it was near… thankfully the gcn version toned it down but still)

I’m also not kidding, this was easily among the most juiced I’ve ever gotten for a single direct. The news on Mario Party and Metroid Dread was incredible, Kirby had his proper 3D reveal. We got the gba Castlevanias,… Freaking Banjo-Kazooie was in a direct.

I love the little moments in Kirby Right Back At Ya where Kirby stays transformed and yet still looks adorable! Usually he loses the abilities after most fights, so its nice to see these little cute moments when they happen! 😊

Twice in one weekend, I have gone back to old Ocarina of Time save files and 100%’d both of them. The NSO one I began in 2021, and believe it or not this 3DS file is from when the 3D version launched in 2011. Only now just getting around to finishing these!

At times over the years, my stress levels were through the roof. I was often told or made to feel I was wrong for liking these games. I've had days I wanted to break down and cry mentally thinking about this. I've blocked almost anyone, any videos badmouthing this and acting like its the worst shit.

My one small nitpick, honestly… it’s just a bit short and a bit light on content. I did miss a few things, but I wasn’t even aware there was optional stuff to find tbh. For its price I think it’s a bit light on content… though I also respect the devs making a heartfelt game AND on a proper physical

Game #16: Orbitals This was one of my most anticipated games this year. And finally having played it with my friend Mackenzie… I generally had a pretty good time with this one. Great production values, love the aesthetic and music of this one. Many language options to choose from too!

Thinking about an insane Kirby thought here... Kirby on Dragoon was able to one shot a gigantic doomsday machine in Subspace, meanwhile had to combine forces with Noir and took both legendary machines (Dragoon and Hydra) to even stand a chance against Hyper Gigantes... wild stuff

Link to the Past I’ll admit I didn’t grow up with this game. Didn’t play it first til the Wii VC and played OoT and other 3D Zeldas before this one. I respect it for what it did… but I don’t care for this game very much. It’s ok,… I don’t like the graphics of this game though, just not into it.

Splatoon Started with Splatoon 2… and that was it. Didn’t like this one much, and the structure of a multiplayer game with only 2 maps in rotation at any point just didn’t do it for me. Also not into the style of the game, sorry to say.

Mario Kart 8 (yes I’m saying this one again): I thought this game was bad in 2014 then got better with updates. Not an evergreen “one of Nintendos greatest games ever” games. Antigravity was a weak gimmick, roster was weak. Most new stages were blehh, and the game had 0 incentive to play it.

I have a whole mess of them. May as well start: Breath of the Wild. On the magnitude of “greatest games ever made” I always hear this one is perfect and reinvented every wheel and defined everything and… I couldn’t get into it. Open world structure did nothing for me, story did nothing for me.
