So, a Dolly story for 9/25. We always had lots of records in the house growing up. When I was 6 I put on a Dolly album & heard "Coat of Many Colors". It moved Me to tears. I used to play it for My friends, because it spoke to Me. It was personal & profound. My ally then & always. 💜

12yrs ago My life imploded & I dropped off the face of the earth. Trauma, survival, shame, illness, fear, & so much more changed Me & made Me pull away from people I loved. I think of them every day. Some have reached out. Every time I open an email to speak to them the trauma & shame overwhelms Me.

While pulling into the grocery store parking lot I saw someone walking a German Shepherd (My favoritist breed along with every dog ever). I bailed out of the van like it was on fire, ran into Aldi, & proceeded to meet "Justice", the sweetest boy. He ditched his "owner". We are best friends now. 🥰💜

I was doing okay, then I broke a tooth Saturday night and I've spiraled into a panic/depression. I have no money or insurance to fix this. Today... My dying Sister's last birthday. Also, the anniversary of My best friend's murder. I have torn abdominal/chest muscles & the pain is excruciating. Husband has an injured back, partner has been silently isolating himself. Sang to my Sister over the phone. I've come apart & shut down.
