Kinda weird, ain't it? Violent crime rates are terrible in a lot of Red cities, but President Trump is sending troops to Blue cities with much less crime. Why does President Trump hate Red cities so much? Why is the President just abandoning the people who supported him into office?

The efficacy of nonviolent protest is predicated on at least one of two factors: 1) The party/parties/Party protested against must be capable of feeling shame, and/or 2) The party/parties/Party protested against must have some concern for their public image. Neither of these are true at this point.

Some thoughts. Fair warning, I'm light on sleep and mental health, so it's bound to be a bumpy ride. 1) Mass media, especially television, has clouded out judgment, warped our expectations. Any problem that occurs, we on some level expect to be solved (or at least solvable) in an hour or less.

I really should consider starting my holiday shopping. Time was, I'd wait until the 20th, maybe the 21st, then hit the malls dressed in leathers and boots and ripped clothing, classic "Urban Death Knight" attire. The crowds at the mall would part like the Red Sea. But there's no more malls...

In other news, blood work today. Not as bad as it could have been, panic attack didn't last as long as usual. Medicating before leaving for the lab likely helped. Will almost certainly do so again, with more lead time to ensure full onset.

The Hunt, and Judgment thereunto, went really well this year. No huge snags. A surprise win from a local Team. (Man, my outlaws in Indiana are tough to beat.) Laughter and merriment, a number of people exclaiming "Why are you LIKE this ?!?" and a surprise announcement at the end. Good times indeed.
