The spreadsheet on this clay tablet, which is almost 4,000 years old, is organised into columns for furrowed area, grain produced, land not sown, and the field’s name.
The first field is called “Of the soldiers who stood in for their fathers”.
It’s ancient Excel, but I find that incredibly moving
![Pornographic art of two furry hyena women, Freyja and Steffi. A drawing in the top left depicts Steffi spreading her legs to reveal her newly-installed pussy. Freyja stands to the side, throbbing and erect, holding a blowtorch. She says 'Alright, there's your neopussy wetware installed. Time for some, uh, ...manual calibration.' A drawing in the top right depicts Freyja using one hand to choke/lift Steffi's (now armless) body while knot-fucking her. She says 'This'll be a lot easier for you without that extra weight.' A drawing in the bottom left depicts Freyja pinning Steffi's head to the floor while fucking her doggystyle. Cum splatters out, and a bubble depicts Steffi being impregnated. Freyja says 'You wanted the breeder module, right?'. A drawing in the bottom right depicts Steffi, panicked and with a swolen belly, with a robot voice saying '[CALIBRATION : STEP 1 of 15 COMPLETE] [ 6 GESTATION CYCLES REMAINING ]' while Freyja stands behind her, giving a thumbs up and saying 'Heyyy, so far, so good!'.](https://cdn.bsky.app/img/feed_thumbnail/plain/did:plc:qtc75sxdzdommq4frugfi7al/bafkreihslslxv26ij2qtpmp643dcrjugtkkrbc6gvdoqtnrg7wpx3zxy3m)
![4-panel comic. (1) [Two people in a room with bed and nightstand. One person points at something on ceiling.] PERSON 1 with short hair on top of head: What’s that device? PERSON 2 with ponytail: Part of the supernova early warning system. There hasn’t been a Milky Way supernova in over a century. Astronomers don’t want to miss the next one. (2) [Person 2 sits on bed.] PERSON 2: 20 years ago, we set up a supernova alert system using neutrino detectors. It should give us a few hours’ advance notice. (3) PERSON 2: If it ever goes off, every astronomer on Earth will scramble to point their equipment at the sky. PERSON 1: Oh, Ok. So is that a detector? Or some kind of telescope? (4) PERSON 2 [leaving]: Fireworks launcher. I *refuse* to sleep through a supernova. PERSON 1: I think I’ll spend the night at my place instead.](https://cdn.bsky.app/img/feed_thumbnail/plain/did:plc:cz73r7iyiqn26upot4jtjdhk/bafkreieib3sjwqtdeaedpuit6ewx4mm56j3nzcvfqpwbtzifnvsvtp6rde)
