Like it kind of depends on current stats and stuff and things are relative but Speed stat vs damage stats are more or less like a 10:1 ratio on usefulness. Daybreak 1 and 2 treat it like it's barely 3:1 which lmao.

Calvard's issue is less severe but those games try to treat accessories with stats that impact damage as though they're actually good when in fact they give so little that it's comical.

Speed is definitely the big one here but a lot of other stuff tends to be lacking too depending on the game. Cold Steel games are kind of a broken mess so a guest showing up with something vaguely balanced just doesn't cut it.

I'm glad that when the SC remake has guest characters show up with locked equipment that it's actually good equipment. Having guests show up in other games with like 1/3 of the SPD of the characters in using always sucked because they're terrible and can't justify a slot on the team.
