Further squalor update, leak still leaking, a plumber is coming on <monday>. Meanwhile, we've just discovered we have rodents in the flat, we think they may have got through the gap under the rotted out door the owner refuses to replace. This is someone who was a friend of 20+ years.

Very normal afternoon taping an umbrella to a microphone stand because the upstairs flat's toilet is leaking through the ceiling and nobody has any sense of urgency about it. Don't you just love landlords?

A shabby bathroom last decorated in the early 80s, with mouldy paintwork, rusty metal fittings, cracked pale green tiles and a shitty pine panelled ceiling. There is a large black umbrella hastily attached to a microphone stand to at least make the toilet accessible without being dripped on.

I'm not going to do anything instantly, but I wonder lately if I'd be happier dipping out of the furry community almost entirely. I came to it later in life and it feels like the scene has really changed even in that time. There are so many reactionaries acting in bad faith to bring people down now

Thinking about cons etc for 2027. I'm just not vibing with Scotiacon in the last couple of years, but that's not a Bsky thread. CFZ, I can't afford (only reason I can afford SC is living nearby). But I definitely want to find a smaller, newer event or two to come and otter at.

Put together a little preamp/EQ box to make my acoustic guitar and cittern amplification setup a bit easier. With a deeply tasteful colour scheme!

A foot pedal preamp device, it's covered in faux woodgrain and orange sign vinyl, has multiple coloured knobs and brightly coloured footswitch toppers.

I have a nerdy tech query that's probably going to be over my head. I have a 10 year old piece of music tech that has an app to control some functions via Bluetooth. The app was optimised for Android and IOS devices circa 2016, and doesn't work correctly on later Android revisions (1/2)

Genuinely baffled by local fur chats today, where an immature 20yo who shows up to meets dressed in tactical gear and another who had to be talked down from wearing an Iron Cross decided I'm a tory, which appears to mean "person who criticised my friends actions". How do you even respond to that?

Some camping dog photos. He schlorped from rivers, sniffed after beavers, snoozed in novel places and was good and gentle with younger family members, so a good weekend.
