➡️ Nearly 40% of people in state prison were first arrested before their 16th birthday. For many, criminal legal involvement starts at a young age. Instead of protecting and investing in its youth, the U.S. shuffles thousands of kids into the criminal legal system each year.

I'm a 58 year old trans female
(I've been told I look 38-40). I'm into music and poetry. I play guitar and sing (used to be in a band). I don't drink or do drugs. Have a sense of humor, am painfully honest. I'm 5'5" tall, have dirty blonde hair (currently dyed darker), 153 lbs, athletic build, and have a lot of really good prison tattoos. Tomboyish, but want to explore my girly side. Count of Monte' Cristo is my favorite book and I love all the Lord of the Rings movies.
I am currently waiting for a parole decision, and if released, will be living in Boston. As for expectations: Looking for
real friendship/relationship. Honesty and straight talk. My motto is "Truth Conquers all Things". I have it tattooed on my wrist in Latin. I have very few boundaries, but I don't lie, don't like jealous people, and have no time for games -I'm not getting any younger. As for topics: Music interests me greatly! As well as poetry. I also want to be involved in some way with the LGBTQ+ community.Image with same layout. Main text:
Traits I'm looking for: Honesty is a must, and I don't like prudes, I'm a swinger and have no hangups about sexual conversation. I hope to talk about my community and what it means to be pansexual (a new term for me, that seems to fit me better than bisexual). I'm old enough that not much bothers me, young enough that I still want to make real connections, with good people.

Main text:
Hello everyone! I'm so excited to be here and look forward to meeting you! I come from a rough background but am still writing my story and working on my best chapter. I'm very spiritual but not super religious, and believe myself to be pragmatic. I'm confident, trustworthy, loyal and honest to a fault. I'm pretty old school so I believe a man should pull his own weight, provide and protect, and be accountable for his actions. I'm also game to learn new things because you can't grow standing still. I consider myself a pretty "evolved" man, I'm acutely aware of the damaging and lasting effects of toxic masculinity because I've been a prime example of it most of my life. I now teach classes on the subject and work to rid myself of male stupidity (Lol).
I'm multi- talented: I'm a musician (keyboard/piano), vocalist, artist and poet. I'm also a cook and plan to run a food truck after release, and eventually open a brick and mortar. I'm socially conscious and am on my way to becoming a feminist the more I study women's and Trans issues. Hit me back and let's talk.Graphic with same layout.
Main text: I'm looking for someone who's spiritual and pragmatic. Someone who's supportive, loyal, honest and wants more out of life. A person who's business minded and has an entrepreneurial spirit as I do. I seek someone who likes to kick it about issues from history to music to your favorite cartoons from back in the day. Open with your life's goals, your fears and hopes, and who believes in redemption

I like to cook, travel, read, and ride motorcycles. I am a people person with a great sense of humor, I love to make people laugh. To keep myself busy in here, I walk, listen to music, play Scrabble, and exercise
I am looking for someone to correspond with and build a friendship. Talk about life and the world's events.
Graphic with same layout.
Main text: Looking for in a pen-pal
I would like to remove my own boundaries, I've noticed that I have set boundaries on myself with my past decisions and my past lifestyle. I have also noticed that people who I let into my life or circle, had also set boundaries by holding me to that lifestyle and those mistakes, I wasn't allowed room for growth. So I'm seeking a new space, one without limitations and without judgement.Graphic with the same layout.
Main text: I'm looking to share these rare diamonds that I've discovered in the coal pits of myself with someone, as long as they are genuine and receptive to such a rare jewel, most importantly, willing to help me grow as a person. My past is my past!
The only boundary that I have is that I don't wanna be limited to who I used to be. I would like to discuss the possibility of lifestyle changes, from others that have personally changed or is working on change.Graphic with the same layout.
Main text: I would like to meet someone who is positive, non-jugemental, and understands that life comes with mistakes but it's all about learning from those mistakes. I am in a place in my life where I'm trying to be and give my true self, but I can only do that if someone is able to receive that part of me.
There is no topic that is off limits, but there is an energy that I do not want to be a part of, meaning, anything that would cause me to lose focus or back track and self-defeat in any way.

We are already seeing Massachusetts DOC take trans women in men's-designated prisons out of their single cells and place them in cis men's cells. They have been told PREA rape protections no longer cover them. This is illegal, immoral, and WILL result in assault www.yahoo.com/news/article... #mapoli

Main text:
Hello, Being in jail has force me to take a deep look at who I am. I wish I didn’t have to always obtain my knowledge through painful ignorance, but I guess we’re not all meant to learn the easy way. I have an inquiring mind with a deep- seeded need to know why things are the way they are. The clouds that overshadow some of my days are small, with lavish silver linings. I am particularly adept in any situation, getting a few things wrong here, solving them there. Social concern looms large in my mind with a desire to help people. My biggest flaw is that I put the needs of others before my own. I’m still finding out the hard way that my heart is bigger than my brain.Image with same layout as previous. Main text: I have three beautiful kids that absolutely mean the world to me. So, I’m unapologetically committed to being the best version of myself for them to have someone to look up to. That starts with the small things that often times get overlooked, like listening. I have learned so much from my kids from just listening to them. Most parents (including
mine) and people in general don’t listen. They wait to talk and abandon listening all together.Image with same layout. Main text: Besides my kids, my three best friends
are Honesty, Trust, and Loyalty. I spend my days reading, studying, and working out. Some of my interests are cooking, movies, and music. I’m really easy to talk to, and would love to get to know you, if I’ve peaked your interest.

The ability to speak two language has made me very world-mindful. I am a careful and analytical individual who's ready to jump in and help, often coming up with quick solutions. I'm a collectivist, I rather cooperate than compete which gives me a better understanding of myself. I dread letting people down in any kind of setting whether it's family, a team, or myself. I enjoy feedback because I'm always on the quest to improving myself and becoming a better version of me.An image with the same layout. Instead of text there is a photo of Juan. It is bleached out but he stands with his arms crossed standing wide and smiling slightly into the camera. He has locs or twists and wear a blue shirt with khakis

In Mass, we're fighting a new women's prison compound that includes therapy rooms+ SUD treatment. The recent DOC strategic plan includes concerning language about mothers in prison bonding with infants. The right thing to do is send mentally ill mothers home, not to paint prison walls pink #mapoli

MYTH: Some people need to go to jail to get treatment REALITY: Most people in local jails have substance use disorders, yet only a tiny fraction of jails provide medication-assisted treatment (MAT) for opioid use disorder. Jails are designed for punishment, not care.
Graph showing that in jails, the most effective treatment options are the least accessible for people with opioid use disorder

Incarcerated members tell us what it feels like to see another person on your unit kill themself. It feels like you might be next. And incarcerated people are clear who is to blame: MA DOC drives people to suicide. It is past time to end segregation and solitary and release SMI prisoners! #mapoli

Massachusetts remains the only blue state with a 287g agreement. Our Department of Corrections regularly collaborates with ICE, turning people who have done their time (and often lost status during it) over to be deported. @massgovernor.bsky.social must end the DOC's 287g agreement! #mapoli
