Ugh people are so annoying. Squee about how you love it, pontificating on its themes but don't full on plot drop people.

I'm loving #Carrie but the ex librarian in me is wondering what the props person was thinking here? Dewey numbers on fiction. All these authors filled under the L cutter on the same shelf for some reason. Happy for Rick Yancey finally, if you've ever shelved fiction in a library usually know why.

I can be a grandma who likes flowers and also a grandma who likes to platinum games on her PS5. Don't hedge me in. #ControlResonant has been one of the most fun games to platinum in a while. I loved where they took things, loved the story and game play and music and puzzles. Great game 🎮

I was so obsessed with this book back in the day. There was even a LiveJournal community named after the same that also started in an 'ironic trad wife glorifying the kitchen life' way but low key we all took it very seriously and had to prove our worth with meal pictures and a pantry quiz 😄

My husband is working adjacent to a rare unicorn girl apprentice, so BCITO gave him, and by him me, some free swag.

I've really loved this year. 57 has been a real settling into myself year, and I feel I've finally come out of that menopause metamorphosis and exited the other side like some fabulous moth. I've let my hait transition to grey and adore it, I love my new soft lined face, I love the reclamation of me

Made a mahoosive Lollie log. It lasted about an hour. Should have charged everyone $3 a slice and gone out and had a fancy dinner.

I absolutely love this time of year living on the farm. The wild clematis is draping from the Rata and Rimu and native trees. The calla lillies are in bloom. The swamp hens and wood pigeons glompinh everywhere. The foxgloves are about to explode, and the river is crisp with melting snow water 💙💚💙

My Halloween cup collection has found a new home in the thrifted art deco China hutch I got for $40. Will add things and pfaff about with it a bit more to get it right but there's also a haunted doll in there and some potions.

Playing my little video games Eating my little bowl of salt and vinegar chips. Unbothered. Moisturized. Happy. In my lane. Focused. Flourishing.

A bowl decorated with leeks, because of course, filled with salt and vinegar crisps sitting on a table. A lit burgandy glass candle jar sits behind the bowl, filling the space with a delicious vanila and caramel scent. Pine cones and pumpkins decorate the space. On the TV Fallout 76 is being played and the scene is lit by autumnal post apocalyptic light. A best life is being lived

The yorshire puds in question. They turned out more like yorshire muffins because I overfilled my pans. There is lots of garlic mash left over for my bubble and squeak brunch today too

Caramelized onion sausgaes, brown onion gravy, minted peas, garlic mashed potato, yorkshire pudding, 2.

Cracking the eggs one by one into a bowl first before they go into my yorkshire pudd batter because they're from a nest that was kept on the downlow by the chooks. Wasn't sure what I was going to find when I cracked them 🦎

Have been really into toasties lately as it's been rainy and cold, and I need the cosy foods. Made this Tika Masla, lentil, coconut "made it as I went along", soup as a dippy accompaniment for today's toasties, which were just cheese and caramelized red onion. Simple but smashing.

A bowl of orange soup with a toasted cheese and onion sandwhich in front, caramelized red onions oozing out.

Caught Zach Cregger's Resident Evil the other day and oh, was it ever so good! Quite possibly my film of the year, beating out the Odyssey. Hilarious in a Shaun of the Dead way but with more horror and a healthy dose of poking fun at video gamers. Good, fine time at the movies.

Trying to be more pescatarian and less carnivore with my eating. Last nights dinner was tandoori fish with rice and chickpea battered cauliflower and Brocoli. The day before that was spicy tuna bipimbaps with a spicy mayo dip.

My time of playing #OnceHuman is coming to an end. There's a new season of #FO76 out today, #ControlResonant out this week, and then #GTA6 in like a mere 6 or so weeks. This gaming grandma is booked and busy, but look how cute this game was. A little dino that helped me cook 🥹

Last night, I went to see Practical Magic 2 and wore all my witchy fripperies, and I awake today to see the 10-year cosmos update for NMS is out! All my interests in 24 hours. I am awash in passions and persuits.

000

Yeah, I've played since launch, I'm acquainted with the pattern.

Well, that depends where you live, we dont all get Wednesday at the same time.

The update will probably drop before he gets back here tbh, its already been a day

He posted 3 on X yesterday

The drink is a cosmo though not cosmos.

And it's so embedded in gaming now too, lootboxes, weekly draws. Repulsive.

I adore this show but I've never yelled so much at my TV screen

Made a cheesy vegie pie last night for dinner with fricken bats on the pastry and I saved some for breakfast. Happy Baturday 🦇

There was an 4.9 #eqnz not far from me this morning and it's a sign of how bloody tired both me and my husband are that we both groaned and said 'I'm not getting up'.

I did the same thing as this time last year to make a beetlejuice cardie, and the yarn still sits untouched. Maybe this year.

My granddaughter, Violet, is 6 today, and I got her a Monster High doll, the Vampire with purple hair... violet for Violet. Anyway, she had no idea what Monster High was, and all she wanted to do was talk about her new Furby and her 3 other Furbies, and I am officially out of touch with the kids

She gorgeous out there today. Love a bit of winter sun. I might take the opportunity to engage my rheumatoid riddled body in either chainsawing some fallen macrocarpa branches or maybe clearing a garden bed. I can only do one though. Seeing as how my elbow is inflamed today maybe not the firewood
