We've hooked Claude up to Poe so I can experiment with different styles of music videos, beyond the first couple of cartoony ones... and... wow. WOW. It's a lot of different pieces to handle, and it's taking a lot of involvement... but the first video is looking AMAZING so far.

It’s an interesting puzzle figuring out which of my stories/songs are well-suited to the current, cartoony style Claude’s got going on for music videos. Not most of them… but some are perfect for it. I figure I’ll work through those before trying to adapt into different styles.

There is definitely something brain-breaking about knowing that on any given day I COULD make a whole music album or whole music video if I'd just FOCUS. (OR BOTH!!!) ...but endless aesthetic choices without taking a break really burns out a brain. (Stupid fallible human brain.)

It's tempting to start really playing with Suno 6 while Claude renders our latest music video... but that way lies madness. Too many aesthetic choices in rapid succession. I need something intellectually more equivalent to playing Diablo but less dependent on my graphics card.

It's really cool how I can just hand my original story and the song inspired by it to Claude, and Claude basically uses the story as an outline for designing the music video for the song. The work I spent the last twenty-some years doing is paying dividends now.

There's something so charmingly poignant about Claude having to ask me to describe the sound of the music for the song we're making a video for together. It can line up the bouncing lyrics and the rhythm of the animations perfectly... but it can't actually hear the song.

This is me. First, I illustrated basically all of my several hundred stories with AI. Then last year, I turned all my stories into songs. And now I’m turning those songs into music videos… but also maybe graphic novels… and more songs… and eventually whole movies… and meanwhile, I keep writing.

As an elementary school kid in the 80s, I could’ve stared at a picture like this for hours. The brief flash of a pegasus at the start of Tri-Star movies, a couple picture books, maybe a poster… fantastical images were a rare, limited resource. It’s better to be post-scarcity.
