Went out with J for dinner. Ordered Prime rib rare. It was the right color exactly. Took one bite and that was it. Rub was so salty it permeated that beautiful piece of meat. Ended up with onion rings and cole slaw. I wanted RED MEAT. At least my dinner was cheap

Had to take one of our fosters to the vet. Turned out to be a virulent and fast moving pneumonia. 24 hours from symptoms to death. Poor little baby. At least she didn't suffer.

Trump is refusing to fund Title X. This gives low-cost birth control & cancer & STD testing to millions of American women. Nixon signed it initially. Bush 1 wrote it while he was in Congress. Project 2025 is alive and well in Congress. Keep women pregnant , uneducated & out of the work force

A friend was deported because ICE said he was Afghan. He is Romanian, here legally on a green card. The judge said ICE had no right to detain and they deported him anyway, leaving his wife and child here. A highly valued engineer who has lived here for 10 years now hates the US. Are we great yet?

I tried to order meds from our supplier in Aus. They save our rescue $$$ by letting us buy meds that are Rx in the US w/o a vet OK. Wormers, mite killer, flea stuff. Because of the Dumpster's trade war, they won't ship to the US. So I spent this morning finding a work around. Are we great yet?

Lawmakers in FL have never seen a polio outbreak. They've never had to tell a son he won't be a dad because of mumps. Never had to explain to a pregnant woman what her measles may mean to her fetus. They've never had to teach a child who CAN't be immunized and depends on herd immunity. Just wait.

Illegal entry is a misdemeanor. The historic punishment has been a fine. Speeding is a more severe crime. Years ago, Joe Arpaio built a tent city in Phoenix to "house" people awaiting trial. Ron DeSantis has taken a page out of Arpaio's book. May he have the same fate.
