do you ever get jumpscared by your own cat? I thought Mini was downstairs in the sun. I went to my bedroom (curtains open, sun streaming in) turned the corner to get something, and Mini yelled at me in the loudest old lady meow I had no idea she was there and I clutched my metaphorical pearls lol

I love drawing expressions, it is actually my favorite thing to do. like designing a character is also great, but mostly it is great cuz once you have the design they can make a bunch of goofy faces. you can make them yell!! or laugh!! or stick out their tongue!!! wow!!!!

'tis the season of art prompt lists. i made my own list for OC-tober this year! 🎨 have fun with it. feel free to do as much or as little as you want, repeat the same prompts multiple times, combine with other lists, whatever is fun for you! #OC-tober #OC-tober2026 #OCsky

TITLE: OC-Tober Art Prompts
Description: it's OC-tober, the perfect excuse to spend the whole month drawing your
original characters. you can approach these prompts with whatever degree
of seriousness and effort you want. this isn't a legally binding list of obligations,
it's just ideas to get the gears turning!
the list: • finish an unfinished piece (maybe even more than one)
• design a new character, or finish an unfinished design
• rework a character design that needs some polish
• design a movie poster or a magazine cover
• draw a single-page comic or short storyboard
• draw your OCs in an alternate universe
• draw your OCs in another art style
• find a blank art meme/challenge to do
• draw something you find difficult, using your OC
• draw an OC at a different age than you usually do
• redraw a scene from a movie or TV show with OCs
• draw an OC cosplaying one of the characters that
inspired their design
• redraw a childhood drawing of an OC
• draw two OCs interacting who you haven't before
• play with alternate color palettes
Footnote: re-interpret however you want or combine with other lists! the only
rules are have fun, take care of your wrists, and don't use AI.

A post-campaing portrait of Urion (my drow/earth genasi cleric), who is finally getting some cuteness back after that whole "being the BBEG" ordeal. They're about to get some action again as a NPC and I'm so excited for the fact!! #dnd #dungeonsanddragons #drow #oc #ttrpg

A digital illustration in cell shaded style featuring a character portrait. The character is a drow, with dark warm purple skin, orange eyes with black scleras and downturned pointy ears. Their blue ombre hair is arranged in goddess locs, with most of it tied in a bun with loose locs falling down, and two locs in the front. They are wearing a halter top with two loose patterned sleeves. They have a gentle smile and are looking at the viewer. The background is a textured teal.

For those of you who aren't in the know or didn't go to art school this is one of the longest running beefs in professional art. The artificial categorization between the "design arts" (illustration, graphic design, animation and fiber arts) and the "fine arts" (painting, sculpture etc). Wild stuff!

Today is my birthday! 🎉 as ritual I'll share my artworks here and I'd really appreciate shares to help me reach more people 💗 This year I have many things I'd like to achieve, I want to paint more book covers and illustrations, and maybe one day getting the chance to paint for Magic the Gathering 🫶🏻

"The great hunt". Illustration piece I did for Paul Scott Canavan's mentorship. It represents an haunt scene, the hunter is mounting a big white tiger with piercing white eyes -sign that she's blind- which is roaring as she's sprinting through the action. The hunter has heavy clothing on, inspired by the Mongolian and Slavic clothing. He has long black hair moved by the wind, and he's holding a sword in his hand, ready to defend his wood. The environment is a snowy wood, old trees and branches all around the scene, as the white snow covers them. The sun is setting, and the overall atmosphere looks pinkish, lightened by the lights of the time of the day. Pink, yellow and blue shading on the sky, as the clouds move, forming interesting shapes.

A dramatic digital fantasy illustration depicting a figure with long, flowing dark hair and prominent vampire fangs stepping down a flight of stone stairs. They are wearing a long, dark tattered coat, a buckled vest or corset, and dark trousers. Their arms are outstretched, channeling vibrant, swirling purple magic from their hands.

The character is positioned in front of a stone archway that opens up to a misty, pale green forest. In the shadowy foreground on either side of the stairs, monchs with glowing purple eyes appear to be reacting to the magic. The overall atmosphere is dark, gothic, and action-oriented.

Fantasy digital illustration of a monstrous woman in a dark blue gown standing in a snowy forest stream. She has long white hair, large white deer antlers, glow-in-the-dark eyes, and a wide, terrifying mouth full of sharp fangs. Black ravens perch on bare tree branches around her, while deer stand amidst the snow in the background.

Illustration of a young elf with short reddish hair and pointed ears kneeling in a misty forest, reaching desperately toward an ornate gold crown with blue gemstones that lies in a shallow stream just out of reach.
