Use ActivityPub or similar for provenance and feedback, including photos of finished item, and the thread would also act promotion for both the creative and artisan. Sometimes I want to buy handmade acid-free archive quality books. Amazon doesn't care about authors or quality.

Steal this idea: Standardized open and decentralized system of being able to buy a license to a creative work or design from a creator's site to then commission manufacturing on-demand from a cottage industry artisan who cares about quality.
