🚨 NEW: Kemi Badenoch's Conservatives have blocked Byline Times from attending their party conference, just weeks after she condemned Reform UK for banning critical journalists. Byline Times chief reporter Josiah Mortimer says his application was rejected without a specific reason.

No specific detail, just a veiled threat to prosecute academics as spies if they keep working with them. This is the same MI5 which repeatedly lied in court to protect a neo-Nazi agent who attacked a woman with a machete, and which could yet face contempt charges, yes? Sure, trust them

Don't mean to speculate, but if for the sake of argument this RAF Fairfield thing was a bid to bomb a critical military installation that would make the perpetrators terrorists and cut from the same criminal cloth as those who declare "I support Palestine Action", would it not, Andy Burnham?

This completely misrepresents the history of the Chagos Islands, the exile of Chagossians and the path towards Chagossians being able to return to the islands once again. The significant community of people with Chagossian heritage in Mauritius have been instrumental in this process so far.

I watched Tony Blair criticise supporters of Palestine in a speech at the preposterous 'Board of Peace' today. He looked and sounded quite frail and ill. Good. I hope he is. He belongs in The Hague, not Gaza.

I was today years old when I learned that the name of Diana Rigg's character in The Avengers was created because the writers wanted someone who had 'man appeal'. That is, 'M-appeal'. So, Emma Peel. I think it would have been more true to life if they had called her 'Free beer'.

That Maureen Lipman who told Gerard McCarthy to "grow up", slagging him off as "cowardly" because he refused to work with her due to her pro-Israeli views, is that the same Maureen Lipman who said in a Guardian interview in 2020 that she wouldn't work with pro-Palestine actors?

I saw @bbcnewsnight.bsky.social 's political editor Nick Watt say the govt is so worried about Russia that it updated the War Book for the first time since 2004. But I thought the War Book was replaced that year by the Civil Contingencies Act, and it is the military's wish to re-launch it.

This is a travesty as much as the British government's proscription of Palestine Action, which was a political act of silencing opponents of Israeli genocide. Actions like this are a way of disarming dissent., rather than protect us from terrorists

The climate crisis may have caused the excessive heat, but it is NOT the reason for the hosepipe ban Privatisation is the one true cause of the hosepipe ban Scotland - where water is in public ownership - has not had a hosepipe ban since the great drought of 1995 Public ownership of water NOW
Graphic that says "For every 1 litre of water you save during this hosepipe ban, the private water companies waste 5 litres from leaks they failed to fix because they took out billions in dividends and failed to invest in our water infrastructure."
