A poetry Discord I'm on had discussion about how unreliable AI detection sites are. Curious, I put the most recent piece I wrote into GPTZero to see what it thought. This is its reasoning for why one particular sentence was probably AI. At least it thinks "Horror." is probably human.
Text from GPTZero that says "Why we think it's AI: Formulaic Flow. The use of 'and' connects two independent clauses, creating a cohesive flow of information." This is followed by a query: "Useful?" with a thumbs up and thumbs down button.

My first cancerversary was last month, and this is how I spent it. I'm still here, still grateful to be.

A red faux book cover with black text designed to resemble a serious title. The main title reads, "WELL, THAT DIDN'T SHRINK GOVERNMENT," and underneath is a small open book icon. Below that, in smaller text, it says, "An Abbreviated History of Voting Republican." The image has a watermark that says "@_namroknamrok_"

That's a very nice river! It seems to come with a sort of tranquillity not readily available at short-walk ranges for my nearby river.

I have to give credit to /u/serieousbanana on Reddit for that one, as well as the interrocolon and seminterrocolon, as well as some others.

I'm not autistic and would hardly call myself a writer—I have one trio of published poetry to my name, aside from self publishing—but I do love a good em-dash or semicolon. There's other punctuation I wish we had, but don't. May I present for your consideration the interropause?
An interropause. What is an interropause, you might ask? What a wonderful question! Think of a question mark, but then replace the period with a comma.
