Using the Dictionary fieldtype in your Statamic front end forms
The Dictionary is a superb fieldtype in Statamic that can provide data-based single and multi select fields for your users: and out of the box includes Dictionaries like Countries, Locales and Timezon...

A client's @statamic.com site is expanding to new languages. Given its complex structure and number of Collections, I wrote a command that creates localisations across the site, making it ready for the translators to work through. And when they add a new language, we simply run the command again.

Created a new little adding for @statamic.com with a human-authored approach to a llms.txt file for your site. Why? Because agents don't need to read your colourfully worded slabs of human-friendly content, they need curated fact and clear signposts. statamic.com/addons/mity-...

Last Thursday, Claude Code used my entire daily allocation just thinking - with zero lines of code produced. But I got work done, because, well, I'm a developer. So I developed. AI may be a great co-pilot, but your skills are the safety net. Keep them sharp. www.martyfriedel.com/blog/ai-froz...

I've made a number of purchases from imusic.au, based out of Denmark, but sold in Australian dollars. Their customer service is second-to-none, including when I pick up the phone to speak to someone in Denmark. Friendly, efficient, and incredibly helpful. More businesses need to be like imusic.au.

This is an interesting read. laravel.com/blog/which-a... But I have a question: given the performance of Codex with these tests, why is there such a seemingly one-sided love for Claude in the community? I’ve used many… have my thoughts… but curious about why you chose and love your AI tooling?

And not just Statamic customers; Shopify customers have received them too. But the similarity is the common-ness of email addresses.

I have had one client play with them though. To learn more about the scam. They are claiming they can prove it’s me. I’d love to know how they’ll do that.

Emailed clients - it’s bizarre who got it and who didn’t. I think the pattern tends to be those with generic emails like “info” or “admin”. But those with personalised emails or a bit more unique haven’t.

Oh boy no. It’s awesome. My cats love it. Toby hears the jar lid hit the bench and my normally so docile and quiet boy loses his mind and meows like crazy until he gets to lick some off my finger. Fact.

That’s just nuts hey. Buildings aren’t made for these extremes So Adelaide got to 44 yesterday and forecast 41 today. Got me thinking: what’s worse, two days like that or one at 46 (which is today’s forecast for our old suburb in Melbourne).

It’s your second paragraph that I think so many are holding on to. And makes me cringe. “Oh but that’s where the people are” I call BS. There has been a huge departure already, and some are not posting or engaging anywhere else: only X How do you expect to grow elsewhere if you’re not present?

I've been teaching Les Mills classes for 18 years now, and BODYPUMP for 8 years. This week I started teaching BODYPUMP HEAVY: tempo-based weight lifting for strength and lean muscle. The best bit: the music is drivingly brilliant, especially compared to the direction of the standard BODYPUMP music.

You’ve heard of chia pudding… but what about chia jelly? Made with fruit juice instead of coconut milk. With goji berries, a diced strawberry (have you seen the size of them?), 3 blackberries, 3 raspberries, 1/3 white peach, macadamias and shaved coconut. Ace breakfast for a 42 degree day.

If I had a do over now, HA makes sense for all the things I have (lights, ceiling fans, sensors, TVs, etc)… but the thought of setting up HA is just too much now. I’ll wait to see what Apple do, and if it’s a fizzer, may reconsider.
010
Marty Friedel @marty.friedel.au · 05/01/2026
If you’re starting fresh, HA can make a lot more sense because (I believe) it can do all of this. With the majority of mine in Apple Home it’s more double handling: but the rumoured Home revamp early this year may elevate Apple’s offering further.
