Especially when he come and wins the PL.

Someone invited on who says there are rumblings the Saudis have lost interest in #nufc weeks after announcing a multi-million pound new training ground. Nice one.

I’m away to pick Elliot Anderson up.

Brilliant player now but not sure he has the tools in his locker for a long career once his pace goes.

The key difference is Russia were banned after several nations refused to play them. It was then that they were banned. That hasn’t happened with Israel (yet) so UEFA have not taken the same steps.

And Spurs are going to not stop banging on about how they’ve won the league.

He was always going to come good second season under a different manager.

All of this is why it would kill me if he went to Man Utd and I’d actively want him to do badly 😆. Love Howe and want it to remain that way. #nufc

And there was that survival stat that it hadn’t been done from that position before. Can’t remember exactly what it was.

At least Osula had a preseason.

Martin Rix @martinlrix.bsky.social · 21/09/2026

Quite literally game changing.

The whole of the bipolar post-match analysis we’ve witnessed hung on getting two moments right. The penalty and Thiaw’s composure when he crossed the ball. That’s the fine margins in the PL. #nufc

The last six days I think will be a microcosm for the whole season. Some displays where we look like what we are, a team going through transition then bouncing back to get the win. #nufc

Our main issue was having to reshuffle so much due to one injury. We were in total control up until then and the goal came immediately after the switches. #nufc

Thought exactly the same today but with far more potential.

It seems to be just pints of bitter and private members clubs.

Think tonight will be a bit of a reality check for everyone. #nufc

Would take a point right now

Martin Rix @martinlrix.bsky.social · 14/09/2026

Would bite your hand off for a draw

Me and everyone else with the misfortune of having to read it.

This definitely sounded better in his head. #nufc

Aye. It’s mostly been “Ok, you’re forgiven a little bit”. I expect he’ll still get booed at St James’ though. Think the only major outgoing from the summer that wouldn’t would be Gordon.

You’ll find most fans have responded in the exactly the opposite way.

No idea how the BBC have concocted this headline from a nonsense article in which Ben Jacobs says it is still possible we sell Hall. The club are not quoted at all in the original article yet the press are still peddling the story. #nufc

Exactly what I noticed when I saw this angle. No running to the corner flag. Get the game restarted. Loved seeing that.

Martin Rix @martinlrix.bsky.social · 05/09/2026

Stop it with the “got away with that one” narrative. Lucky to go in 2-1 at half time but value for a draw in the end. #nufc

He’s have been in the box for that Elanga cross that Hall was busting a gut to get to but no one else was in the box

Martin Rix @martinlrix.bsky.social · 05/09/2026

Would be excellent for Miley, Steur and him to have more time together but they may be called up for the youth teams

020

Martin Rix @martinlrix.bsky.social · 05/09/2026

If Nico is called up to the seniors. Not been capped yet.

Glad to see one person has blocked me after questioning them. One Google and they’d had seen my job and why I consider boat crossings concerning for humanitarian reasons. Good work by that person. This platform is starting to slide downwards.

000

Martin Rix @martinlrix.bsky.social · 05/09/2026

So you are making that assumption based upon what?

100

Martin Rix @martinlrix.bsky.social · 05/09/2026

God why do I come on to social media.

100

Martin Rix @martinlrix.bsky.social · 05/09/2026

That’s not what the original point was. That’s what I’m replying to. Not your argument which is more balanced.

100

Martin Rix @martinlrix.bsky.social · 05/09/2026

Wonder how that has happened…

000

Martin Rix @martinlrix.bsky.social · 05/09/2026

Which is my point. You can’t blanket “yes” or “no”. Life, opinions etc. are more nuanced than that.

100

Martin Rix @martinlrix.bsky.social · 05/09/2026

Twoddle. I’m concerned about it from a humanitarian pov, with people risking their lives on boat crossing. Yes, end the small boats but also open up routes for refugees to safely travel. Stop making everyone black and white. It serves no one, in particular those most in need.

Seems the difference between ‘protestors’ and ‘terrorists’ is that protestors wear balaclavas while terrorists hold placards.

And the reporting from a conference where everyone there is, shock, a huge supporter of the leader and party, won’t help those fears.
