I can’t read the article but ongoing studies *are* looking at diet/exercise “prescriptions” that 🤞 will lead to insurance/cancer center change. Access (cost, avail providers, time, dx stage) barriers have to be removed & need real training for docs about talking to patients to 🛑 shame & blame

Me biking to effing cancer treatment where there is a safe path for most of the way but that one block stretch with nothing but too many semis & cars with pissed off drivers😩 There is a VA hospital, Loyola Medical Center, Ronald McDonald House, a CTA/Pace bus stop & ZERO path or even a sidewalk

This is work that follows long talks with @amybeumer.bsky.social in late 2025 as we wondered what was going on w/dose reductions and ADCs. We all knew someone reducing doses due to side effects but wondered how irl compared to clinical trial results. Amy died of metastatic breast #cancer in June💔

Years and years ago I was an editor at Sterling MacFadden, publisher of Daytime TV & other soap opera (& other fan mags) magazines. It was the best paid job of my life—fun staff, weird/fun/difficult interviews with actors, lots of writing & lots of creative freedom. Love seeing these flashbacks❤️

I don’t go on there but as a regular person, and a cancer patient, it was quite a place for awhile in terms of connection and knowledge sharing. Bluesky is not that sadly. Many friends continue to use it for cancer connections even tho it isnt the same
