A really sensitive parking violations officer issued me a $105 parking ticket this morning. And when I explained the reason for parking in a residential zone, she phoned her supervisor to have the ticket retracted!!! How lovely!

The weather this summer has been gorgeous, and I really regret not taking advantage of visits to my favourite beach. In a few months, I’ll be moving. For nearly 30 years, this spot has been my happy place. I’ll miss it.

I respect that we have a healthcare system that needs to prioritize based on urgency. But when you schedule a routine mammogram, that has shifted protocol from annual to biennial, and the first available appointment is 4 months out, we’ve got a serious problem on our hands.

Six years ago, the chef/operator at this popular fish truck awed me with his passion. It was a catalyst to leave a miserable job. Months later, I returned, struck up a friendship with the chef, and shared how he had inspired me. Still the best poke and still a reminder to follow your heart. ♥️
